The Wagner group is marching on Moscow in an attempt to overthrow the Russian Ministry of Defense. No mention has been made that I have seen of overthrowing the government or Putin. Perhaps the head of the Wagner Group wants the Minister of Defense job for himself, as he believes Russia has not been pursuing the war aggressively enough. Reports of troop numbers vary between 25,000 and 50,000 men. I have seen reports of Russian troops refusing to fire on the advancing mercenaries, but I have also seen reports on MSM that Russia has bombed the column and that the head of Wagner has called a halt. Anybody know anything? Does anyone care?
I don't know, but I find it interesting that this comes up at the moment when the Biden scandals are starting to hit the mainstream news. First, we had what we were supposed to believe was a whistleblower revealing the presence of aliens, yet that didn't get a lot of traction.
Things seem to have reversed themselves, at least for the moment… “Presidents Putin and Lukashenko spoke by phone on Saturday to discuss the situation in southern Russia, where Wagner PMC chief Evgeny Prigozhin launched an armed mutiny on Friday after accusing the Russian military of attacking his men. The Russian defense ministry denied the claims. Evgeny Prigozhin has agreed to halt his forces' advance on Moscow.” https://sputnikglobe.com/20230624/p...n-after-lukashenkos-mediation-1111446655.html
It is interesting in the timing, but I don't think Wagner has anything to do with Biden. He is tied to Ukraine with the $10 million dollar bride disclosed during recent House hearings, but Prigozhin is a Russian patriot who wants Russia stronger. I do feel that the "lost sub" story that was in the media for so long was perhaps an attempt to push the Hunter story off the front pages.
The first news reports I heard about the aboutface he seemingly executed said that NATO offered him more money than Russia was paying him. I can't remember the actual numbers, but I believe it was 6 figures and 10 times more.
I don't know anything new since yesterday, other than what I've read here, but it was a bit of a shocker this "wagner" butcher was some sort of "donut" maker, I can't remember exactly, but what a career change! I guess he ran a catering company, but I bet they served donuts: This has quite a bit, if it's true or not (CBS ) https://www.cbsnews.com/news/wagner...in-russia-mercenary-private-military-company/
I don't think Wagner is any worse than many of the PMGs the U.S. used in Iraq and Afghanistan who had ties to the Bush and Clinton families. They are simply mercenary groups, and mercenary groups have been used for millennia in wars. Recently they seem to be used to separate their actions from the country paying them. War crimes and murder can be committed without blame falling on the sponsoring countries. The Institute for the Study of War is a U.S. think tank very pro-Ukraine in their views, so take that into account when listening to what they have to say. As far as the rebellion in Russia goes, I know think it was "sponsored" by the U.S. based on statements made by Lindsey Graham and others. Putin allowed it to continue as long as he did to identify the traitors and people he could not trust within his government and military. Notice the Chechens were among the first to arm up and prepare to march against the Wagner troops, who apparently only amounted to a few thousand troops rather than the 25,000 reported initially by Western media. Most of the Wagner troops remained loyal to the Russian government and are now under contract to the Russian military. The rebels have reportedly been given amnesty, but I don't know under what conditions. There are reports that the rebellion died so quickly due to statements made to Prigozhin by the FSB (successor to the KGB) that they would kill his entire family if he persisted in his march. I have no idea if those reports are true or not. Putin has now identified those loyal to him, so expect changes in the hierarchy in the next few weeks to remove those not supportive of the current regime and conduct of the war. NATO has been trying to goad Russia into being more aggressive by blowing pipelines, bridges and dams, but so far Putin has not taken the bait. Next to come is a false-flag attack by the Ukraine/NATO forces on the nuclear power plant in the south that will be blamed on the Russians and will give NATO an excuse to enter the war directly, since Ukraine appears to be losing on all fronts despite the rebellion of the Wagner Group.
I don’t know if this is related to the Wagner Group and Russia or not, but they are just announcing that the airspace around the New York airports is closed and designated as national defense airspace. We also have a couple of those spy balloons coming across the US today as well; so there is that, too. And I just saw a post on Twitter that said the plane that carries members of congress is headed up into the Arctic circle. The flight radar shows it going right straight north; so I will be watching to see if there are updates on that.
I don't know what this has to do with anything, the guy being a better or worse butcher, but this stuff could be already living right here in the US.
I would agree that's why they might be reporting it, instead of what they usually do NOT cover which is anything that is the truth about biden and his low-life son (like father like son).
