Would say slow, possibly even boring?

Pretty much keep busy, due to living close to family?

Depends on the season of the year?

Isn't the "retirement years" suppose to be the "fun" years, for like traveling. Things that could only be done on weekends, or possibly during the week If a person worked weekends, could now be done anytime. Well, depending on where a person lives, health status and, of course, finances.

Since my wife still carries a full-time job, we have only weekends and her vacations to do things. Then again, our lifestyle on weekends here during our so-called "winter months" is actually the same as it was when living in Colorado........pretty slow and definitely somewhat boring. Depending on the weather here on some summer days, it can be rather boring, just like winter. But, summer, as it did in Colorado, brings out the boat and going to the Range and a possible "away" week of vacation. Actually, had much more to do in Colorado in the summer, than here.

So, what is your lifestyle like?

Kind of on the boring side lately when I'm at home. Must be getting restless after all these years.

I have started walking again and plan on checking out Silver Sneakers and some other things.

I get my fill of eating out and non stop activity though when I visit my daughter. I used to visit more often, this year not as much so maybe that's why I'm restless.

We can afford to make trips to places in New England or Washington, DC a few times a year, but we don't do a lot to spend money while we're there. We can afford to get a hotel rather than drive home late if we're in Bangor or Portland, but we don't travel to distant places or spend our lives amusing ourselves.

Difficult for us to make trips, both of us, soour lifestyle is slow and boring. It could be said this is the last lifestyle before the big leap into the dark.

My lifestyle is just about everything I hoped it would be during this season of my life.

It's filled with time with my loving husband, time with my children and grandchildren, and even time with my siblings...although now that most of them have moved out of Lafayette I sometimes wish I had more time with them.

My lifestyle also gives me plenty of time to read all the books I want to read, watch all the Movies I want to watch, and play on the computer all I want.

I am free to set my own schedules for just about everything now...and don't have to worry about what time it is or what day it is for the most part. If I want to stay in my pajamas all day long...I can. :)

I'm not the kind of person who gets bored. There is always another good book to read and I will never be able to read them all no matter how long I live.

Though I often think I wish we could travel a little more...when the opportunity presents itself to do just that...I often find my mind wants to go on that trip...but my body wants to stay home.

A lot of people might find my lifestyle boring...but it fits me just perfect. :)

I guess outsiders would say that my life is lacking of any style at all .... pretty much do what I want whenever I want, but there isn't much that I actually want to do anymore , which suits me fine .... don't feel that I'm missing anything or that there's anything I need to achieve.
Boring maybe, but after being controlled by the 'work clock' for over 50yrs, I'm quite content to watch the world go by and participate in how much or little I choose

Ever hear the phrase, "get a life"? By definition, I have one but I am not sure that it has any particular style attached to it. If I had any sort of style, then it would be something that someone could readily define who I am but alas, as a homeless person has no home, I am a person with a life who has no style.
I believe that the very word, "lifestyle" is listed somewhere as a hazard under the dubious heading of occupation which no one can accuse me of having, hence my lack of that which is generally accepted as promoting some sense of style.
I no longer don a chef coat, suit, nor polished shoes and as a matter of comfort, there are times when I do not even put my dentures in place. (which is in the Walmart book of what not to wear when shopping there)

If there is a small chance that I have any lifestyle at all, one might say that I pretty much leave everything up to serendipity sans those times when I voluntarily decide to do some sort of work to generate a little extra money.

In the event that it is mandatory for everyone to have some style, my wife has enough for the both of us and she is the best portion of my life so I could conceivably say that my lifestyle is ...........my wife.

My SIL (wife's sister) has a really "going" lifestyle. Almost constantly doing things. One thing we know is that she definitely doesn't like being at home. Her friends will invite her to their Timeshare property for a few days, then she will fly to a state where she has cousins live. When she goes on one of these trips, she is generally gone for a month or so.

This has been her lifestyle since her husband passed away a few years ago. "On the go" is written before her first name.

Living up north, our lifestyle is plain and simple with NO pressure..
We are both in our mid to late 70's and enjoy the simple, relaxed life, compared to the hustle and rat race we both had while living in Montreal most of our lives..
Our financial worries are pretty much all over as we have almost everything we want in life, and are not worried about what comes next.. Living up here is much more affordable than living in the big city.. Our kids are all independent and are doing very well in life..
If we want to go somewhere, we go, providing we are physically in shape to go there.. We both had a few replacements lately, but hopefully that won't slow us down too much..
Living up here, we can honestly say that we enjoy breathing air that hasn't been breathed before.. Clean country living..
Being bored isn't even a thought.. We wouldn't trade our lifestyle for any other..

Kind of nothing and I sometimes wonder how the rest of my life will play out. I have the cats. I don't mind being home. And I am going to the gym to walk and have used the pool x1.

My teen years were pretty quiet. I had no control over the tv ever and, if I didn't like what was on, only place for me to go was to my bedroom and do something. I loved it when I could stay at my cousins for a weekend. Their mom and dad were on a bowling league on Saturday night and left the house to their son and daughter (teens). When I'd visit, I had a ball! Actually didn't want to go back home, but did.

As far as my wife, she grew up with two sisters and a brother..........never, ever a dull, quiet moment in their household. TV on almost all the time, when her and siblings were home. Summer weekends were spent at a lake cottage where they had a ski boat.

Now, things are pretty quiet in our apartment during weekdays when it's just me at home. Don't hardly ever watch tv at all. Wife comes home and, most of the time, the tv automatically goes on, unless we have to go somewhere. The lady hates quiet, unless she wants to sleep.
