Have you never bothered with even though it won Oscars and had a lot of praise
Most films for me - but I'll mention 'Home Alone'

With most (not to say all) because Oscars don't mean anything to me. If it's not a good subject turned into a story, I won't watch it.

So many. I'm not much of a movie person. From the Best Picture Oscar list, I'll pick "Titanic"

    Like minded we are
Modern films leave me mostly cold - I give them 10 minutes (15 tops)

I never watch the Oscars, and don’t pay any attention to what is nominated for an award. I read books more than watch movies, unless there is some reason that I want to watch a specific one.
I agree with @Nancy Hart , I loved Titanic, and watched it several times, even though it is a long movie. I can’t say if there were any other award-winning movies that I liked, because I don’t know which ones won awards and which ones didn’t.
I remember really liking that movie about the Kennedy assassination that Kevin Costner starred in, but that was a really long time ago, and I can’t even remember the name of the movie any more .

It was JFK, I think. I liked it, too.

I seldom go by what movies the oscars nominate....some have been good...some terrible.

Don't ask me to say which ones because right now I don't remember.

The last good movie I watched was on Netflix though...Bird Box. I read the book many years ago and may read it again...something I seldom do.

Everyone wanted to see Bohemian Rhapsody over Christmas at my daughter's but it wasn't showing anywhere anymore...

    Closest was in Santa Cruz.

I don't think there has ever been a movie made that everybody liked! A movie affects each of us differently. The critic that I listen to, is ME! If the internet had been around in the fifties, the great movies would have never been made. Today's movies are no substitute....they are what they are!

    Here's part of a description...

When a mysterious force decimates the population, only one thing is certain -- if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. To make it, they'll have to cover their eyes from the evil that chases them -- and complete the trip blindfolded.

Haha...he was sitting by my grandson. Watched it at my daughter's house the day she worked...

I had read the book so kind of knew the ending but it still surprised me because I didn't remember it ending like that.

My daughter said the same thing...we read the book at the same time....yet we both forgot a very crucial part to the ending...that's why I want to read the book again.

Maybe that wasn't in the ending or my daughter and I are both going senile. :)
