@Martin Alonzo is not Hispanic or Latino.
He is a Canadian , who has a sailboat and now lives with his family in the Dominican Republic, @Silvia Benoit . That is why I was introducing him to our newest Canadian forum member in this thread.

Since many members mentioned not only the state/s but also de cities / towns I want to do the same.
Upon my arrival to USA, I went to live in Larchmont and two years later in Mamaroneck, both towns are in NY and there I could learn all the French my parents din; t teach me. :) Then, after marrying Lew, we ended up in New Rochelle, NY. Five years later we moved to Dresher, PA...where we made great friends. Now, after Lew passed, I moved back to Yonkers, NY...and I guess I won't move again.

I live 2 hour drive from the city of Adelaide , South Australia in a country area where cereal growing / sheep farming is the main industry ( I don’t live on a farm )

I grew up in New South Wales (500 km from where I live now )

I moved to SA to improve my lifestyle in 1971 ( I was single mum of 3 ) at the time,so I haven’t moved far in my life

I spent a month and two days in Sydney. Avalon Beach, Circular Quay, the Opera House, attending my first cricket game. Great people.

I was born in a little town in Sweden called Norrahammar just south of the lake called Vänern. When I was two we moved to the town of Linköping where my dad had got a job as an engineer in the SAAB factory where they made - and still do make military airplanes. Then at age eleven we moved to a small town called Enköping near Stockholm. After I graduated from High School in 1972 I went to London as an au pair where I met and married my husband. We lived in London when I became disabled in 1974 and in 1975 we moved back to Enköping where we still live.

Hubby and I did a road trip with his Australian cousins. Started in Canberra and drove to their home in West Wyalong NSW. From there to Broken Hill, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy - bought some beautiful opals there. Then on to Uluru and Alice Springs. Flew to Cairns and drove down to Sydney. A four and a half week trip all in all. So wonderful.

Welcome to the forum. As I mentioned in another thread, my grandparents were from somewhere in Värmland, Sweden. They were from different small towns, not far from one another, but I don't know exactly where. They moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where I grew up. I was born in Marinette, Wisconsin, but only because my parents preferred the Marinette hospital to the one across the river in Menominee, Michigan,

Born and raised in a small town in northeast Pennsylvania. We fondly call the area NEPA (a word). It’s primarily populated with eastern Europeans, Irish and Italians who migrated here to work in the anthracite coal mines. My father made it a career in the mines making it to assistant foreman. I made it back here after the service and will die here.
