A New York archaeologist dug down 10 feet and found old copper wires. Since the USA is gaining one foot of overburden every 10 years, he declared his find 100 years old, the oldest telephone wires known and New York as the first state to have telephones.

A California archaeologist dug down 20 feet and found copper wires. He/she declared their gender neutral find to be 200 years old outdoing New York's record. They declared California to be the first state to have telephones.

A Texas archaeologist, also a wife and a mother, dug down 30 feet and found nothing. She declared Texas to be the first and original state to have wireless 300 years ago.
