I am thinking a protein shake, tomato soup, and cherry pie for supper today. I have zero motivation today.

Yeh, I've got to. Those and the cookies.

My weight has gone through what Darwin would refer to as "punctuated equilibrium." Level off at a weight for years and then *BOOM* it goes up 10 pounds. Stays there for years and then *BOOM* goes up 10 pounds. I was 165 for the longest time and now I'm pushing 180. This is not a healthy weight for me. I gotta get back to 165 at least...maybe even lower.

PS: I had no idea Wimpy played the drums. I assume this is from the Burma era?

It just happens, don't it? I weighed less than 120# when I graduated high school...that was not a real healthy weight. 145# would be ideal. I've been out walking my property the past few days...up & down gullies and in and out of an old meandering creek with a 5' bank in places. I'm thinking that will burn more calories than a regular level-road walk. Little changes, one step at a time.

Why does food have to taste so good? And who's bright idea was it to make sofas so comfortable?

Since I had grilled cheese for lunch I will go with chopped and chipped beef and gravy over toast. My Great Auntie in Texas called it "Shit on the Shingles" and I haven't ever heard another name for it so I stay with SOTS. It is easy to fix and ideal for one such as myself that is culinary unmotivated.

Yup. If you said you were having SOS tonight, the vast majority of us would know exactly what's for dinner.
