Crockpot chicken and stuffing, with potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce. I have been cleaning carpets today, and this is such an easy meal to fix and works perfectly with leftover chicken, too.

Mushroom bacon burger with swiss cheese from local joint. I had fries, too. I decided to hell with carbs today; I'm irritable.

Some places must have power back on again then , if you can order out. When we had the bad tornadoes here, it was almost 2 weeks before everyplace had power, and we were in the past area because of so many trees down and power lines down. For days, nothing was open because of no electricity, and cash registers and even some doors needed power to work.
The little grocery near us sold what foods they had for cash, because of not cash registers or CC machines. We pretty uch lived on cold canned food until they finally got power back on in our area.
I put my little solar lights outside in the morning, and we carried them around the house like candles at night.
Oh….. and cold sponge baths…..but at least we had water.
You have my total sympathy, @Beth Gallagher !

Yes, the outages are spotty. Most of the businesses along the main road here are open today, including grocery stores. Houses on the opposite side of our street got power back yesterday morning, so it's the luck of the draw. We have a gas water heater and stove, so we have had showers and hot coffee!

We had a terrible storm here a few years ago. Trees were down everywhere. Our right-of-way was blocked for days. After digging out, I went to a friend's business and he was asking how I survived without power. I had no idea what he was talking about. I never lost power...and I'm 1/2 mile off of the main road. Turn out that something like 96% of the county lost power for several days. I had no idea. I guess the trees fell the right way that day.
