I'm registered "Unaffiliated" so I feel free to vote for the individual and not a party...but I always, and i mean ALWAYS end up voting republican lol. Generally, I figured it was because I have a heart for the underdogs. This time lesser of 2 evils (although I don't think Trump's evil). But this time, what appeared to be the underdog, won. Score! But I'm not always happy with the Republicans (ahem, please just repeal & replace and get going on tax reform ASAP).
I'm very conservative on most issues but moderate to liberal on some things. Whatever the issue I know I'm always right.
Ive always voted Republican and am registered as such. I don't even know why though since many of my views are different.
That I'm registered as a Republican not a democrat or independent. In the primaries I vote for someone in my party. This time the Choices were Trump, Cruz, Rubio, etc...didn't like any of the other choices so I voted for Trump and so did many others since he won the primary. In the general election I can vote either party if I want to or even split my ticket.
Never heard of that. Over here you can support a party via donations and help, maybe that's a form of registering support I could never say I'd vote for a party 'forever' Depends what they have to offer at the time and if I think the leader is trustworthy
You don't have to vote for them forever...I can change to whatever party I desire. Also..not all states so it the same way. It's basically so you can vote in the primaries but I'm sure @Ken Anderson can explain it better.
Your being bothered by a triviality, a trifle and a picayune matter. We need disagreement for dialogue. I'd just sit back and eat the trifle if I were you...
@Chrissy Cross Chrissy, you must self-assess just why you are so indecisive about your motives. I've known you a long time here, maybe even elsewhere, and have always appreciated your presence. Are you feeling ill, or out of sorts? Hopefully this can be squared away. Frank
I don't fit in anyplace. The other forum is more active but with a couple of nasties over there. I agree it is more liberal where I lean.
You walk to the beat of your own drum @Chrissy Cross and there is nothing wrong with that as long as you know you are being true to yourself.
I like that idea Babs! I should start my own forum...just kidding but I think I could do it on a proboards set up, lol.
