When you were six years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? When did you change your mind, if, in fact, you did?

A cowboy. Luckily, there were no gender identity crises in those days. I can't recall when my dream ended, but I became a systems analyst instead.

I think, a teacher, while I had several differing goals during the interim period, I did become a teacher of EMTS and paramedics.

I don't think I had any such thoughts. I wandered around pretty lost, graduating high school with no college prospects and wondering how my 18 year old friends had any idea of what they wanted to "do forever" such that they were pursuing it.

I wanted to be Roy Rogers, not Dale Evans, Roy instead. I had six shooters on my hips and when I wasn't Roy Rogers I was Trigger.

All I can say is Thank God that was then and not now. No telling what I would look like if it was now and my parents went along with the prevailing political winds.

Since I was born and raised on a cattle ranch, I was already a real deal cow girl or "cowboy" (if speaking as cowboy being mankind), so I wanted to do lots of things and did become them all with exception of being a pirate. I did get to do old west shootout reenactments as an older teen, but never had the chance to play pirate on one of the reenactment ships.

I wanted to be a cow girl. We had a big round topped mail exchange box across from my house and I could get up and 'ride' it like a horse.
But I didn't expect that my future would include actual cows:eek:
I never really figured what I wanted to BE. I just did what I wanted or what was available. It did include a lot of manure.
