Although I know there are other candidates, I am only including Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in this poll because I don't think anyone realistically thinks that one of the independent or third-party candidates is going to win. If I were asking for your preference, I would have included as many of them as I knew of.

I'm going with Clinton, but at this point, I really don't care who wins. Trump has his good and bad points as well as Clinton does.

Getting close to time for a burger, Bud Light and shot of Fireball. Wife is already downing a Bud Light.

I will celebrate similarly if Trump wins. I will celebrate similarly if Clinton wins. The difference in my attitude during such celebrating, will be like the difference between night and day.

It looks like Arizona went Trump, too, @Frank Sanoica ; so you can start celebrating that part right away, even if we don't know who will be the final winner. We are probably not celebrating, no matter who is the eventual winner, but we will be much happier of it is Trump, for sure ! !

I didn't think Trump was going to win, and I am still not overly confident, but it's looking good.

Trump is our new President! I'll support him, but still not sure he was the right choice. We will find out.
    "Good Luck" to him!

Yes, we will have to see, I'm just in shock mode now. I know there were decent Hillary supporters, have some in my family...I'm just goading over the loud mouth liberals that I know on another forum. They've done it for a long time to us.

I too would have respected the office of the president if Hillary won. Im one that has never called Obama a name in 8 yrs. I didn't vote for him but he was our President.

Boy, you DO get up early! It's about 6AM there, right? I just called my SIL (wife's sister) in Ontario, CA and she was up as well. Guess some Seniors sleep in during retirement, while others are "early birds". Have always been an "early bird" due to being partly raised on a farm and being in the military.

I've been an early bird my whole life. Even when ive gone to bed way past my bedtime, I'll be up early anyway.

I also jump out of bed the minute my eyes open, could never lay in bed lounging.

    It's 6:08 now but I've been up since 3:00 a.m. today.

While I surely wanted the outcome we had, I can't say that I expected it. This is only the second time in my life that the candidate I voted for was elected president. The other one was George W. Bush in 2000, who also won the electoral vote but not the popular vote, and it turned out that I wasn't very happy with him, and didn't vote for his reelection in 2004, although neither did I vote for Kerry. In 2000, I wasn't so much of a Bush supporter as I was afraid of a nutcase like Al Gore becoming president. I don't really know what we're going to have with Trump, and I can only hope he doesn't disappoint me too much. I feel like I do know what we'd have had with Clinton so I will rest easy with my vote regardless.

I was up until long after Trump's speech this morning, as I had some things I needed to take care of in the forum, so I didn't get to sleep until about 5:00 a.m.

Had my wife put the bedroom tv remote on my bed stand. I woke up at midnight and put on CNN. Still major states results coming in, but no predictions on those states yet. Shut off, went back to sleep. Woke at 3AM and put on CNN and found out Trump had won. Wife woke up and told her. After that, said "congratulations Donald" and went back to sleep.

I would have accepted if Hillary won also...I am excited it's Trump and sorry if I'm a little in your face about it but
It's not aimed at you...it's aimed at all the liberal losers somewhere else...the place you left.

The QFT crowd. :) Just checked and a few of the louder voices are very quiet.

Also some Canadians that act like all of Canada thinks like they do wrote some nasty things about Trump. I think the same thing will happen in Canada their next election. C'est dommage. :)
