There are those who think that DeSantis has Deep State puppet strings being tied to him, and this is Trump firing warning shots.

If we "just accept" stolen elections, when does it stop? Not a single one should be accepted, ESPECIALLY a presidential election.

That being said, I have no answers.

There's an old saying - "Don't crap where you eat." - which in this case means don't dump on your own party and make a stink that your supporters can smell.

I am reminded that there are those who thought Q-Anon's "Trust Sessions" and "Trust Trump's Plan" was the way to go in 2020 and are at it again for 2024. A lot of people fell for that BS. As for negative about DeSantis, I am sure progressives will be happy to hear people spreading negative rumors about him.

I have now read some commentators who believe there was/is complicity among the "establishment" Republicans to demoralize the Trump followers. They are unhappy with Trump's somewhat "takeover" of the GOP, and many support Biden's policies anyway, so they built up expectations in order to crash the morale of those who expected the candidate endorsed by Trump to do well.

Exactly! I posted another theory on a different Trump thread that I just reviewed.

I agree with this, but there is also the fact that choosing the right person has never been one of Trump's strong points.

Everyone around him is related in one way or another--they all go back generations--and he just hit town.

I think he has been betrayed by so many he thought he could trust, he relies on his family for support.

Now that I reread it, my analogy was poorly written, having forgotten that Trump relied on literal relatives.

My family had a small rental property out in the boonies. The tenant was squatting, refused to pay rent, refused to leave. So we hired a lawyer. The thing drug on forever with no resolution. Turns out the lawyer was the guy's cousin. Of course he was. No outsider is gonna establish a business in such places.

That's the spot Trump was in. He was the outsider. Anyone available to hire in DC had long-term ties to The Swamp. Everyone around him was "related" by their Swamp affiliation. Their ties preceded Trump, and they'll survive long after he's gone.

No Trump, no vote from me. I've had enough of the criminals in both parties and if people love the way their money is being stolen then so be it. It can only progress so far until there is a massive uprising with people either dying or going to prison. Everything being done today in the halls of congress and the senate are criminal acts and refusal to uphold their oaths of office and the constitution. All of them can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned. The day I see prices go back down on everything that has been gouged then and only then means there is something changing. It is not going to go back down, and they are right there will be no social security left due to their mismanagement of the entire Nation. I just want to live to see all of them spitting dirt. These thieves in charge today have destroyed the economy of America forever.

    It's official. https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-an...run-despite-mounting-headwinds-022254364.html

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he would again seek the Republican nomination for president in 2024, despite multiple ongoing investigations into his conduct, stinging midterm election losses for candidates he endorsed and mounting criticism from members of his own party.

"America's comeback starts right now," Trump declared during a meandering speech given from a ballroom at his Mar-a-Lago country club and home, adding, "Two years ago, we were a great nation, and soon we will be a great nation again."
