I don't have an apple watch. I just have an android phone and wish I just had my old flip phone back. It didn't have enough g's so they cancelled it. But the company was bought by Verizon and they keep trying to force new stuff on me. The latest is MY Hub. It gives off a tone like I have a text. But I just remove everything on my initial page.
Today hubs kept coming in, I guess because of all the stuff Trump is doing. I am getting headlines, weather, things I don't want info on...
I guess enough people complained because all of a sudden there was an new symbol up top and when I clicked on it I was given a list of things I could turn off on MY hub. They are all gone!

With your android phone, you should be able to have a Fitbit smart watch. They have some that are pretty much the same as an Apple Watch, but are for android systems, and sync with google, so it would work with your Chromebook as well.

You misunderstand. I don't want to sync to anything. They want me to unite all over. I actually bought a fabric that can keep emp's and all the signals from devices from getting into devices unless I want them in. I take my BP when I want. I don't want to be told I need more steps....

I am supposed to be able to wear my Apple Watch scuba diving, yet I take it off to take a shower.

I do that, too; but when I go swimming, I set it for waterproof and it is fine in the water. You can do that for a shower, too; but it is much simpler to just take it off. I think that it actually would sense the water and close everything up even if you wore it in the shower.
