The personality that enabled him to stand in the midst of the cesspool and fight is not serving him well when he's not in combat. Lots of people are pissed he would do this to DeSantis. This is the worse target Trump could have picked to shoot from the hip at, and lots of people are angry. That being said, us having standards of conduct put us at a great disadvantage to the other side.
Sorry, but I don't believe either side has displayed any "standards of conduct." It's a national disgrace.
There are assh*les in every large group. It doesn't make everyone in the group assh*les. (I never used to say that word but it turned out there really are those who deserve the term.) Mob mentality happens. But I have met more in the left than the right. Just my experience. Civility died when thousands wore crocheted female genitalia on their heads. Passing the office of the President? I am not a deplorable either.
