Object 1: Find the hidden word in a sentence. Object 2: Stump the others by creating a sentence that contains a hidden word (three letters or more in length). Inadvertently, there may be times when another unintended word also appears, which will have to also be counted as a correct answer. Example: Sentence: Mary passes a ladle for the pea soup. Answer: salad Mary passes a ladle for the pea soup. However, "forth" would also be a correct answer, although it was unintended. Mary passes a ladle for the pea soup. As would "peas." Mary passes a ladle for the pea soup. So you might want to try to construct a sentence that has only one hidden word, so as to make it more difficult. Or you might see how many hidden words you can find. Alternatively, you could play it where you give a hint as to the word that you're looking for, which might be a synonym or another hint. For "salad," you might say, "It's best with dressing." However, you want to play it, it's fine with me. Here's a sentence to start it out. If you can find the hidden word, create a sentence of your own. The Chinese cadres sang patriotic songs.
How do we know if the word/s we find are correct ?...I can find 'Dress' in that sentence... but it means nothing with regard to the sentence Should we play it so we have a hint in the sentence like a cryptic clue? Who is going to say who is correct and who isn't before the next player takes their turn?
If you play it without hints, then the answer is right as long as it forms an actual word, regardless of what the sentence writer may have had in mind. Others may point out other words that might be there. If you play it with hints, then you're looking for the one word that the sentence writer had in mind. You guys can decide how you want to play it. In this case, "dress" was the word I had in mind, so you can structure a sentence. If you give a hint, that means you're looking for the exact word that you have in mind.
