I love the sea and sailing and for what I pay monthly for my assisted living I could take such a cruise and would do so if I could get the same medical care. Round The World Cruises can be had for $55,000 to $100,000 or more. Would you consider selling your home when you retire, take the money and buy a cruise?
https://www.westernjournal.com/88-yr-old-lived-cruise-ship-past-10-years/ ave you ever taken a vacation that was so great you never wanted to leave? What if you could figure out a way to stay there for the rest of your life? For Lee Wachtstetter, that vacation was aboard the Crystal Serenity cruise ship, and she has it a
At one point there was much of the world I would have liked to have seen. But these days there are not many places I wanna actually be. Regarding a lengthy time on a cruise ship...I know they're large, but I would feel trapped. A week or two might be OK. I wonder if they have astronomy cruises. Getting in the middle of the ocean and extinguishing all light sources would be a life-changing experience.
Being old now it seems like a better idea than the alternative. When I was younger no way would I want to be on a ship in the middle of the ocean. Of course I won't have to worry about making a decision at those prices. anyway.
I don't think so I think she is stinking rich so doesn't even ask about discounts.. I think its about $200,000 a year.
You ask, would I like to take an around the world cruise……. Yes, I would totally LOVE to do that ! Can it ever happen……not a chance. Even assuming that I had enough money to do something like this, I think that it would be too much for me to do nowadays, and 4 months is a long time to be traveling , even if it was mostly just relaxing on a tour ship. But , the idea of going, of being on such a trip, is something that my whole being says a big YES to doing. I would love seeing the ocean, the lands that we pass by, the stars at night, and swimming in the pool every day.
Lon, did you forget that I am married to @Bobby Cole ? Bobby has NO interest in going on a cruise, even one of those 3 day ones to the Bahamas or the Caribbean; so unless Robin went on another one and took me along, I am not likely to be going much of anywhere, cruise or otherwise.
