Real Age... There is a test created by Dr. Oz or someone. Anyway his name is attached to the 'Real Age' test. and you can take it online. It's free you just answer some questions - health, family history, nutrition, etc. I took this test... twice. Sort of a before and after thing. I have set a goal to lose a few pounds so I took the test before and then a week later I took it again after losing. My 'real' age only changed for the younger by two years but..it was 4 years older than my actual age. Was I disappointed or throw a fit and went into denial? No. I just laughed it off and said to myself, "Silly me. Why would I even get caught up in such a thing?" I wonder after taking this test (for the first and maybe the only time) if people are emotionally affected, especially if the 'real' age isn't what they had hoped it to be. Would you or have you taken the "Real Age" test? What are your thoughts? Men, your response is always welcomed.
I took that test also, it said I was one younger than my actual age. I was disappointed I wanted it to say I was 10 years younger so that I could say I was younger than I am.
I don't know how much I weigh, so I could not take it. I know I am overweight, but I have no serious ailments, I don't smoke or drink alcohol and I'm physically strong, so I would think that I am the age that I am. I believe there is also a countdown site that shows how much longer you are likely to live, based on your health, habits etc.
I don't remember it it gave you an idea of how much longer you may have but some of the decision is made on how much you exercise. At the time I took the test I was walking 6 miles 3 times a week. I hurt my knee and have been limited to how far I can walk, so if I took the test now it would probably say I am older than my true age, although I am healthy.
If I remember correctly, the test ask how what ages of your parents were when the died. The 'answer' was based on that as well as the other stuff. I would say that if your parents lived past 70 you could expect to live as long too.
My mom will be 90 in June, two of her sisters passed in their early 90's and I th's nk her dad was about 105 when he passed. My mom's mother had diabete's and died young she was in her 50's. I was only 6-7 when she passed. If the test uses all of those ages, I will be here for awhile longer.
I'm not sure that I want to know. I don't eat healthily and I'm lazy about exercise. I'm trying to change the latter, but find all the theories about healthy diet so confusing that I don't know what I should be eating. The only plus is that both my parents made it past 80.
I have never taken this and really have no desire to. There is no way for them to tell things like that simply through some online questions. In order to really find things like this out you would have to have a doctor check you out. At least that is how I feel about it. Besides, Dr. Oz has been caught lying about several things now anyway.
