Apple 6 watch which I’m picking up latter today ,it was far easier to order online , (saves spending to long in store ) Apple sent me a text to inform it’s packed ready to come in and pick up at the time I clicked suited me ....so I’ll have a new “toy” latter to learn how it works / I believe from the email I got to,say it’s ready that they will set it up for me in store. I went to the one and only Apple store in Adelaide last week to get a watch but there’d sold out ,they are practicing good hygiene ,you have to line up outside in a fenced off area have your temp taken / use hand sanitiser / put a mask on and wait till the Apple employee comes out and asks what they can help you with
My new watch ..I like Minnie Mouse so that’s my clock face for the time being it’s rather cute cause MM taps her foot for the seconds ...and points to the time with her hands and does a little dance when the screen is lit up You can see it’s 16c here today at 1pm it should be warmer it’s mid spring
I bought a book that was first given to me as a gift 78 years ago, when I was six. It's Robert Louis Stevenson's "A Child's Garden of Verses". Howl
I may have commented before that when my mother passed away, the only thing I wanted were the books I grew up reading. Some of them were actually still in her possession. Not only do these books contain great memories for us, but they played a huge part in forming our identities and our intellect.
I just ordered online via Amazon.com a big jug of Tide liquid laundry soap and 24 House Blend PEET's Coffee K Cups. Both will be delivered Saturday.
My husband ordered 2 new batteries for my MIL's electric scooter from Amazon on Wednesday and they arrived today. Those suckers are heavy.
So you have a brand and a size you know will fit you? I've always struggled with buying online clothes.
I seldom have any issues with fit; I wear a 7M in almost all shoes with no problem. For clothing I usually check the garment measurements if I'm not familiar with the brand. I also shop with merchants who have a liberal return policy, or order from retail websites (Macy's, Nordstrom, etc) that have stores locally so I can return stuff to the store without hassle.
I've commented that I shopped at Penney's all the time. The quality of what I've purchased online for what I thought to be a like-kind product was sadly lacking. Maybe I should go to Macy's. There's still one in Charlottesville. I used to buy my suits there.
Bought a new shredder from Amazon for $34 and hope it will last longer than the previous one which broke down because of a paper clip not removed. Actually I'd need a heavy-duty one because I'll have to get rid of bank statements and similar stuff going back to the mid-90s but this one isn't. It will take me a while I suppose.
