Here are a few pics taken by my wife today as we strolled the Riverwalk along the big Colorado. I have always been amazed by the crystal-clear water. Where I grew up, outside Chicago, the waterways were akin to sewers, and indeed, many were. 'Course, that was long ago, and cleaning up has proceeded, but still, the Chicago River and Illinois Sanitary and Ship Canal, well,........how many toilets are used to serve 4 million people? That's how many flush directly into those 2 waterways. Thousands of tiny seashells along the shorline, water clear as a bell. These guys are over two feet long, the one on the right probably close to three feet! A tiny hummingbird partaking of a beautiful sight on the river today, temp. 78 degrees.
