This 1996 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur cost the equivalent of $300,000... in 1996. So what did that money buy you 20 years ago? I took a closer look to find out.
I'm with Patsy....I'm not into cars that much...so I'd rather spend that on something else. All I want from a car is that it gets to where I have to go safely and maybe somewhat comfortably. And that means A/C in Fresno, lol.
This car was not made for the common driver. It was made to be chauffeur driven. Quiet, smooth comfort is the order of the day. It is not a technological driven vehicle. I hope you take time to watch the video and be blown away. It is in amazing condition for a 22 year old car.
Maybe, but the car body style can also evoke emotions and a sedan never appealed to me. I've always had station wagons, vans, and SUVs - that's why. I still recall how surprised a car dealer was when, back in the early 90s, I asked him what station wagon models were being offered by this make of car. He was being evasive like: "Oh, you know, for most men a real car still needs to have a trunk." Just a question of personal taste and preference, I guess, especially when the price is a bit on the high side.
