This is a new channel for us and its great, learning more about the good ol USA Anyone here watch it ? The 'depression' era was featured last night and then the 'new beginning' They also featured the 'dust bowl' incident - so sad to see the farmers up and leave their homes I wondered watching this if any of your family members were connected to incidents I witnessed …………..
Hi Patsy. Yes, we often watch shows on the Smithsonian channel. I also like the science channel; I'm fascinated by natural disaster shows, how things are made, etc.
Yea, same here and nice to have a channel that offers something different I'm not into mundane TV, want something that keeps me alert !
I would like the Smithsonian Channel...is it available on DirecTV? The Science Channel is good too...especially "What in the World", and documentaries about abandoned huge engineering works. Hal
No need to get your Y fronts in a twist Hal OK got it ! The Dust Bowl incident that went on for years - OK now Hal
We just switched providers a couple months ago and the Smithsonian channel is on our new line-up .. we love it ! Our DVR is crammed with shows from that channel. We also love Science Channel, History Channel and Discovery.
We get all those from the Directv satellite way up in the sky. When I tune to channel 267 to get the Smithsonian Channel a message says "Channel not Available, Buster". Hal
'Aerial America' is one I enjoy watching. Seeing states I haven't visited or even the ones I've lived in, from a different perspective. After visiting their Museums in Washington D.C., the channel takes on a whole new meaning.
