Does anyone else recognize their pet's birthdays....My sweet little girl, Shaalee, is 13 years old today. You're all invited for birthday cake and ice cream. .
Yeah, I do although I sometimes need to look up the exact date. I do know it's at the beginning or the middle of November. Sari will turn 9 then.
Thank you for being thoughtful of your Sari. Sometimes exact birth dates aren't always available. They need special days as well. .
All my pets have been rescues/abandoned. The one I had the longest, I didn't even know the year. Happy Birthday Shaalee!
I recognized the month and years of my cats' birth, those that were born in my house. We don't know exactly how old Ella was when we adopted her, but she was still a kitten, so we have an idea.
Coincidence? Three animal/pet avatars in a row? Well, a little too late now. Ken would have to change his, too.
Happy Birthday Shalee! Pickles turned 11 on Feb 17 of this year. I always celebrated his bday...just by getting him a special treat.
Thank you for sharing Nancy. I have great respect for you and anyone who chooses rescues or the abandoned. I have no real reason for not using a rescue facility other than that they were a great distance away, have never come to know of one abandoned. Any lucky pet getting a home in these manners have birthdays everyday thanks to loving and caring people like yourself.
Nothing to do with birthdays, just to do with Nancy's post with rescues and abandonment......Saving one dog will not change the world but for that one dog the world will be forever changed.
Of course ! We have always done that. For the dogs we rescued .. they were assigned a birthday and that was the day we adopted them. They have no clue what it's all about but they love it and so do we.
I know when Radar was born and how old he is. I don't throw him BD party but he gets a good or extra treat. This year I bought him a much needed blanket.
