Maybe it's because I was raised around women and not men, but over the years my BEST friends have been females. Sure, I had male colleagues and golfing partners but they never taught me to sew, cook or dance. The down side is that I am not Mr. Fixit. I don't know a hammer from a hack saw. Some of my best golf partners were women. Even now at my age I find that I enjoy conversing more with women than men. I was married twice and both wives were truly my Best Friend. I miss them both.
Yep, @Lon Tanner , if you need some fixit-ing done, call me. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………. I'll send @Bess Barber right over.
Well Lon, that is why you should have hung around the farm and ranch girls. Not only would we have taught you how to fix or make anything, but how to sew leather as well as delicate fabric. Treadle or electric. Your cooking skills would include things like using a wood cook stove, electric or gas range technique, pit bbqing, and cast iron Dutch oven Shepherds bread. Dancing? You name it, two step Texas or Montana style, waltz all over Texas or just a county if you tire easy, and even a Spanish tango your speed, tientos slow or tanguillo fast. Maybe Argentine tango, who knows. Glad you appreciate the women in your life.
@Faye Fox "Glad you appreciate the women in your life." Regret has followed me for several reasons: Too chicken in early adulthood and too few of them later..... Frank
@Faye Fox Nah, toolbelts and such are appurtenances, but ABILITY is often feigned......the arc welding story did it! Frank
