I couldn't eat much tonight after being at the dentist today, so I had a 1/2 of an open top bacon and egg pie.. but I felt a bit queasy after it
Leftovers. We had Chinese carry-out last night and there was a ton left over. The other half doesn't care for leftovers but the two choices on the menu tonight was "take it" or "leave it". He took it. The cook was on strike.
Today we're having grilled strip steaks, potatoes, and caesar salad. (My venture into vegetarianism doesn't appear to be working. )
OK! Hopefully I am off to the races with vegetarianism, much to my husband's dismay. I had plain oatmeal around lunchtime and I have a pot of split pea soup (WITHOUT HAM...ACK) in the Instant Pot for dinner. Good news: Beer is vegetarian approved!! Woot. (This may "save my bacon," so to speak.)
We're goin' out for a Nick's Special Pizza tonight...it's got everything, including an assortment of valve springs from Hudsons, Nashes, Studebakers, and Packards. I'll slide it down with a 32-oz mug of beer. Hal
I had scallops, and prawns in a lobster cream sauce... I made veggie burgers for my husband, with a side of home made ratatouille..( he's vegan)
Baby greens with crumbled feta cheese, dried cranberries, walnuts and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Four whole-grain crackers. I'll have a grapefruit later for "dessert." My hub's still out of town so I'm eating non-cooking stuff.
