Hey everyone. I’m not new to Forums in general, just new to this one. I’m 67, about to get married for the third time, and am enjoying the wedding prep and planning. I’m still working as is my fiancé, also a Ron! . Our kids have dubbed us “The Rons”’ and it’s become our wedding hashtag and is also the cake topper lol!! I have 5 kids, he has 7, so we’re quite the blended family!! We’ve been living together for a couple years now and it’s so refreshing to have a partner that actually appreciates me! I’m very much looking forward to getting to know you all
Hi Ronni and welcome Congratulations to the 'Rons' too on your wedding to be - hope its a good - 'do do Ron ron ron' @Ronni Gates
Hello, @Ronni Gates , and welcome to the forum ! It sounds like you have a busy family and lots happening in your life right now, getting ready for the big wedding . I am a misplaced Idaho girl, now living in northern Alabama and staying out of the winter snow. Whereabouts are you living ? We have people here from all over in the US and several other countries as well. I am a greeter here, so if I can help you with anything as you get settled in to the forum, just message me.
Thanks Yvonne! I’m an Aussie by birth, Perth Western Australia. I’ve lived in New Zealand, California, Alabama, and Nashville Tennessee is currently where I call home. Ron’s from upstate NY, though he’s lived all over too. I lived in Huntsville AL for several years. What part of Alabama are you in?
We live in Huntsville , right across from the arsenal. My daughter moved here when she retired from the military, and now works for one of the military contractors, and has no intention of ever moving back to Idaho. When my heart failure got worse, Robin asked Bobby and I to move out here closer to her, and we have been here for over 10 years now, and will probably stay here. What part of Huntsville did you live in, and did you like it here ?
I LOVED Huntsville! We moved around some...my ex just couldn't stay in one place for long lol. We lived in the Northeast and the Southeast, spent a year in Old Town (though I really wanted to live in Twickenham but it was WAY outside the budget!) His brother and wife had a log home and some property in Gurley AL and we spent lots of time out there. I was sad to leave. It reminded me of my home town in Australia more than any other place I'd been before or since.
