What was the scariest thing you've ever done for fun? Expand that, if you want, to what were the three scariest things you've done for fun?
Rode a cable car more than a hundred years old across a chasm in Ecuador. It was pretty rusty. Zip lined for 4000 feet across a valley in Costa Rica. Rode in a hot air balloon over Cappadocia, Turkey.
My cousin and I climbed a radio tower and hung a pair of long underwear from the top. Climbing it wasn't so bad, although it did sway back and forth, and most kids gave up halfway, There were at least things to step on and to hold onto, but, the part that we hung the long underwear on was the antenna part on the top. It involved wrapping one arm around the antenna, while my cousin supported the lower part of my body. We did think ahead, and already had the attachments in place, but that was scary. We also tobogganed off of a hill onto a frozen lake, skirting over an open-water area where the creek ran through the lake, but that wasn't so scary, although maybe it should have been.
I usually avoid anything scary and don't consider it "fun." But we did go zip-lining with a bunch of other RVers in 2014 in Arkansas. Also, riding on a ski lift is scary to me but I'm not much of a skier.
I've been white water rafting a number of times, but I generally don't do thrill stuff. If we go to a theme park, you'll be lucky to talk me into going on a single ride...and that conversation will take some time.
thinking that I was going to watch drag racing with guy I was dating. He had a 1974 Stingray corvette. Just as we paid to get in, I found out we were in the race. Listed as the deadliest track in Texas at the time. Was only 8th of a mile track. It was exhilarating !
Kate is the, Runner up. Singing on stage and forgetting the words in front of several hundred people.
It wasn't that one, I think I still know the National Anthem. Of course it has been a while since I sang it at a ball game or school.
