I’ll go first, Joy. :D I actually like Kennedy’s attitude. Trump is old enough that it is very possible he might not live out his 4 yr. term. I would really like to have a genuine conservative as VP. Besides, Kennedy is thinking of running third party and I hope he does. He’s bound to peel off some Biden voters that way.

I wasn't old enough to vote for JFK. I've voted for Trump twice, but I'm leaning toward RFK Jr.

Kennedy has made the announcement today that he has dropped out of the Democratic race, and has now declared himself running as an independent.

It remains to be seen how this will affect either Biden or Trump, but Kennedy can watch and see where most of his supporters are coming from. If he gets more from the democratic side that are falling away from the Dem. Platform and Biden, then that will help Trump.
i think that most of the MAGA people are going to stay with Trump as long as he is an option in the GOP candidates. If they somehow are able to eliminate Trump (which is stupid of the GOP to do that), then I can see the possibility of him going independent also and joining up with RFK.

I like Scott but I’ve always had this thing about seated Congress people who are out campaigning for the Presidency. The same goes for seated Governors.
They are elected and paid to do a job and if they’re out running around trying to get elected to a higher position, they are not fully focused on the job they were hired to do.

He says he doesn't want to be vice-president, but I hope he will change his mind and that President Trump will choose him as his running mate.

I feel certain that if Trump offered him the VP spot he'd jump on it. I was reading comments on a news story about him dragging his "girlfriend" out to display at his announcement. I didn't realize that he was "suspected" of being gay since he isn't married at 53.:rolleyes::rolleyes: In today's world, who really gives a damn about that? So damn tiresome.

Richard Grenell was someone Trump relied on heavily. He is very gay and very open about it, but the media never mentioned it as they like to portray Republicans as homophobic, racist, and sexist, but the majority are none of those things.

Do you think Trump and Biden will be the nominees in 2024? I think Trump will be, but then I think Biden will be dumped at their convention AFTER Trump is nominated.

I don't see how Biden can run for another term. The Republicans will do what they can to stop Trump, as they did last time and the time before, but then I never believed they would allow him to get the nomination in the first place. All the polls are putting Trump against Biden, and many are planning for that, but I think the Dems will switch, perhaps at the convention. I know Newsome has plans, and there may be others in the wings. The Democrat bench is not deep, so I don't know where they will go. Gender and race, not competence, will be the deciding factors, so....
