An FBI document was just unclassified, and a report released (with video) that seemingly proves that Saudi Arabia was intricately involved in the September 11, 2001 attacks. They have had this information since the day after the attacks, and yet, our government named Saudi Arabia as our ally in the "War on Terror" that followed, targeting Afghanistan and Iraq rather than the actual perpetrators. I'm guessing the report was only unclassified because Saudi Arabia recently announced that they would no longer use the U.S. dollar for oil sales. So yes, we should definitely believe whatever lies our government tells us. Nevertheless, the Biden Administration just lifted a one-year ban on the sale of offensive weapons to Saudi Arabia. Perhaps the U.S. government was indeed an ally of Saudi Arabia on September 11, 2001. Could the Patriot Act have been worth the lives of 2,977 people to persons within the U.S. government? Of course, this also gave us a couple of decades of the "War on Terror," which further eroded the Constitutional rights of the American people and benefited a powerful segment of our government.
