Remember driving down the road in the spring and the Road and hall was covered in white. Very odd I thought. Its going to be shown in America on FX. You can get a small glimpse of my Village. https://www.essexlive.news/news/ess...1Dsumh4b_mT_k6EH0EyyK84I3dOU4R17jfOXiOdFJ6e1A
You peaked my curiosity there Tom (there's a pun in there somewhere) I never knew that another re-make was on the cards and regardless of all the re-makes, there is only one 'Scrooge' for me Alastair Sim Anyhoo - I will try the 'Essex' version and thanks for the insight
OMG he was brilliant in that. Made in 1951 and I was 9 at the time when I saw it and still remember it. Some shots of my Village but there are some Photos of Rainham in Kent. https://www.google.co.uk/search?rlz...lAhVMiFwKHVO-B_kQ7Al6BAgJECQ&biw=1299&bih=721
He certainly was Can only hope the Essex version is as good as the Dickensian series - really clever writing
@Tom Galty That is VERY cool!! Thanks for telling us. I'm with @Patsy Faye , I hope the remake is as good as the original. You never know how those things are going to turn out. All depends on the writing.
Very cool, Tom! I hope we get to see it here. I enjoyed the scenery in the Netflix series, "Broadchurch." I wondered if that is a real town, but it is actually the village of West Bay, Dorset. Some street scenes were filmed in Clevedon, Bristol.
