That looks really good, @Chrissy Cross. If I made it, I might put some salsa verde coming out of the mouth he he. I love Trick or Treat, but not with the people in this neighborhood. I don't like attracting the hoodlums to the house/yard/driveway, since the stray kitties tend to live there, and I'm sure kids traipsing all around will/would agitate the already excitable dogs I'm surrounded by, so I'll keep the lights all off, and hang out up here in the office, watching scary movies. I used to stock up on candy every year of the 9 I lived in the nice apartments, but no one ever showed up. I've handed it out a few times here, but the kids are rough on the gate, and come back multiple times because they're greedy little beggars, so now I don't bother. I still enjoy the holiday, though, and this is a cool thread.
There is a house here that has this at Halloween. The first time I saw it, I nearly ran off the road laughing.
I had a hard time getting the picture because there were so many tree branches in between, so it's sort of blurry, but this was a gorgeous picture in real life. The sun was shining on the dew on the spiderweb, making it glisten. I don't know if particular types of spiders make different types of webs, but there are webs all over the place this year. I keep walking through them out front, out back, on the balcony, and even across the driveway. I do love the look of dew along the strands of the webs, though. Happy Halloween, y'all! By the way, that's the ONE decent fence on this whole property. The back fence was knocked down during Ike, so someone replaced it with this. I'd love to have these on all sides, rather than the falling down ones, but at least I have one good one.
Good ones @Shirley Martin but I expect that from you. @Diane Lane , I wouldn't want to go with neighbors like you have either. Yes, the salsa verde adds to it, lol. Also, is that your fence? That's an awesome spiderweb.
We will be home and got a small bag of candy over the weekend. Last year only had one Tricker or Treater. She was a little neighbor girl dressed in a beautiful Frozen costume. Not many young kids live here. Complex doesn't even have a Halloween Party anymore. Any leftover candy will be given to the Rental Office. We sure can't eat it!
Spider webs are beautiful. I made a video of one in the bush just in front of my kitchen window. The sunlight was making it sparkle with colors and the wind was making it dance. I played some music and recorded it. I don't think we can post videos to here from Photobucket. If we could I'd love to show it to y'all.
Yes, that's my fence/spiderweb @Chrissy Cross and I took another earlier...I tried to crop out the crappy fence, but we'll see. This whole place is under a spell, it's covered with spiderwebs. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
I could have gotten some really great shots if I hadn't been trying to avoid catching the yucky fences in the pictures. I've taken some nice spiderweb pictures at the local parks. I like to get them first thing in the morning, when they have the dew still on them, and are glistening in the sunlight. Sometimes I can even get a bit of a rainbow on them.
