I know it's been a while since I've updated here...so I'm going to start with a pic of my Honey and me with our two youngest grandsons that was taken the day before yesterday around 4pm in the afternoon. Their sister decided she didn't feel like taking a picture...so even though we wish we had all three of them in the photo with us...it was just nice that the boys were happy to take one with us. It was a beautiful afternoon here with perfect temperature so our visit was spend for the most part outside. :)

Yesterday was my second appointment with my breast Surgeon so you can imagine my surprise when I got there and after I had signed in I sat down and waited for my turn to go in. A few minutes later the Receptionist called my name and when I went to the check-in window she told me the appointment log did not show I had an appointment yesterday or any or day for that matter. I told her that was impossible...that their head Nurse had talked to me directly and made that appointment for me. The Receptionist looked again but could find nothing scheduled for me. So I explained my whole communication with the head Nurse and how she gave me that appointment date and time and the Receptionist believed me. She checked on the appointment log and told me if I could wait until 3pm they could fit me in...I told her I could since I had brought a book to read while I was waiting for my appointment anyway. So I went and sat back down.

That's when I kept feeling this check in my spirit telling me to leave. I tried ignoring it, then decided to pray and ask God what was going on and basically I heard His Spirit tell me "I have a plan for you...and this is not it." Then once again I felt the strong impression that I was to leave that Office. So I went back to the Receptionist and told her as a Christian I believed nothing happened by accident and that since my appointment somehow "disappeared" I needed some time to pray about what that meant and was going to go home instead of waiting until 3pm to be fit in to see the Doctor. I'm sure she thought this lady must be nuts...and I'm sure some of you are probably thinking that too right now. But I know my God really well...and when He gives me a check in my spirit or nudges me until I listen and obey....I know He is letting me know I am on the wrong path, etc.

I felt such peace when I left the Office. There's more to this story. From the beginning weird things have been happening. My first appointment when I met the Surgeon I really liked her. But her head Nurse was weird....I would ask her questions and she would look directly at my daughter who was standing right next to me and answer her as if she had asked the questions. I asked her 5 or 6 questions and she did this every time...like I was invisible to her or something. Then when I called to set up another appointment with the Surgeon to ask some more questions and talk to her about having a lumpectomy instead of double mastectomy....the person who answered the phone was the head Nurse. I explained why I wanted another appointment and she was very understanding and assured me that this was a good thing to do. So she set my appointment for April 11th at 1:30pm. I told her if there were any cancelations before that date would they please call me because I only lived about 10 minutes from her Office....she then said that if I wanted to see the Surgeon sooner she could possibly get me in this past Friday...she told me that even though they only were open half a day then it didn't look like they had many biopsies scheduled. She then told me she would call me Thursday afternoon to let me know one way or the other if they could or could not get me in on Friday. At any rate we would still keep my appointment date set for April 11th. She never called me Thursday afternoon.

By this time I was really starting to wonder if the head Nurse had a few "loose screws" in her head....but I figured if that was so she certainly would not be the head Nurse trusted with so much responsibility. Now after all that has happened I believe that God is showing me He has another plan for me and it does not include surgery with this Doctor. So now I'm home again and in perfect peace trusting God will show me the next step to take in His perfect timing.

I have by the way been learning so much and am juicing now and following a very basis whole foods diet of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. I have already lost at least 8 pounds and feel so much better. Twice now I have heard God speak that He has healed me and I claim that promise and I will walk forth in it until and if He shows me something else He wants me to do.

One thing I have learned is that we get sick and diseased when our immune system breaks down and can no longer do its natural job of fighting off illness and disease. So building our immune system back up is one of the most important things we can do in bringing back health and healing to our bodies. That's where I've been led these past few weeks and I'm already beginning to see a difference in how I feel, etc.

Right at this moment I don't know if surgery is going to be in my near future or not....my faith and trust is in my Lord to give me the answers to this in His perfect timing.

Certainly an uplifting post from you Babs
I'm pleased to hear you are listening to that inner voice, I mostly have too in life and on the couple of occasions I
did not, I regretted it. You know that I wish the very best for you so just take each day now as it comes and listen to the 'voice'
that guides you - its also important to listen to the Docs advice too of course :)

I wrote a very lengthy post here a couple of ears ago describing my dad’s battle with cancer. The compact version is simple:
He had been given a week to live because the cancer was in his brain, lymph glands, lungs, liver etc.
Even though he was an atheist, many people prayed for him and he even begrudgingly allowed me to “lay hands” on him and pray for him.
He woke up in the hospital bed a couple of days prior to his estimated demise and sat up, asked for breakfast. They took the necessary tests and the only thing they found was a quarter sized tumor on his left lung.
His attitude toward God took a dramatic change and he did indeed become a God loving, Bible pounding machine for the rest of his life.

Now, here’s one of the more important parts of his story. He called me to talk about the tumor that was left. The doctors said it would be best if they removed it. His pastor said it “might” be best if they removed it. My dad even thought it might be best if the doctors removed it but his problem was, would God be upset if the doctors removed it?

It was a hard question but there was only one answer that came to me. I told him that he didn’t trust the doctors when they first diagnosed him and he certainly didn’t trust God because he didn’t believe that God even existed. Now that you know that you know that God does indeed exist and He does indeed perform miracles, why would He be upset if you used the gifts that He gave the doctors?
To me, it’s a win win. God is glorified by the Miracle He performed and He is further glorified by using the gifts that God has given the doctors. And by his healing, the doctors and nurses who observed the miracle had their faith strengthened and a few, found new faith.

In short, my dad became cancer free.
Now, I am in no way giving any advice by the retelling of Dad’s story but merely pointing out that God has His way of doing things and sometimes they’re pretty questionable. Matter of fact, there was a lady at his church who absolutely loathed my dad because my dad, as an atheist, was healed but she, a devout Christian had not at that point in time.

No matter what does indeed happen, God has a plan and if that involves a longer life here or a home in heaven, it’s still His plan and in some way, however remotely or openly, will glorify Him.

Our prayers are still with you Babs......love ya sis!

Just a thought Babs, don't let the Head Nurse cloud your judgement, she may have the skills, but not all have
the empathy or emotional skills, even tolerance.
You liked the Surgeon and she is the important one :)

Loved your testimony about your dad @Bobby Cole. And love everyone else's good wishes and prayers for me.

I don't have much more to tell right now except Jesus spoke a third time to me that He has healed me and so by faith I'm walking in that healing.

I'm sure not against Doctors...but when I hear the Great Physician tell me something....He's the first one I'm going to listen to and obey...so that's what I'm doing with faith and trust that His plan is perfect for my life. I truly don't know what that plan is yet...but I trust my Lord to unfold it in His perfect timing. Right now I'm just following the food and juicing plan He has given me and spending a lot of time in His presence in prayer and praise.

I love my Lord and whether I have a long time left on this earth or not is not a problem for me. I will be here as long as He wants me to be and then I will be Home with Him.

Have a blessed day everyone. :)

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been on here for awhile but there's just a lot going on not only with me but with many of my family members too right now so it's hard to find much extra time these days. I'm doing good. This picture was taken yesterday by my brother from Oregon...he came to get his sunglasses he had left when he visited with us a few weeks ago and he also had just got back from visiting my sisters in Florida and one of them sent me a present...so he was dropping that off to me too.

I'm still going the faith and alternative route in the healing of my body...and for me personally I am at peace that this is the way for me to do things. The way I eat has changed completely. I juice fresh carrot and apple juice and drink 4-5 (8oz) glasses a day along with 1-2 glasses of green juice. I'm eating whole grains, vegetables, and fruits mostly but I do have some organic chicken and wild salmon a few times a week too. No more coffee in the morning with my sweet treats....but nothing has been hard for me to give up at all. That's how I know God's hand is in this with me all the way. I make my Honey whatever he wants to eat but it doesn't bother me in the least to not have any of what he's having. And he is actually eating quite a bit of what I am making for myself too...and enjoying it.

I sold my elliptical/bike exercise equipment and got me a treadmill that I walk on at least every other day and today I found out if I listen to my praise music while walking I actually can walk a lot longer on it. :) Completely changing the way I eat caused me to have less energy for a short time but now my energy is coming back and I am feeling good. I ordered some liquid Vitamin C and some High Absorption Curcumin from Tumeric root along with some Vitamin D supplements that I take every day too. I also try to get out in the sun for at least a half hour now every day that I can.

The most important thing I'm doing though is trusting God to bring healing to me. When Jesus walked this earth He healed everyone so it is His will that people should be healed today too as Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I trust my life to my Lord and Savior any day, knowing that I won't leave this earthly life one day before I am supposed too.

Hope everyone is doing well too. Blessings to all of you.
