Perhaps where you live it may be more difficult. The only time I ever used small claims court it was so easy. Went to the court house and filed a paper with the small claims court clerk. A weeks later, I had my appt before the judge. I was well prepared with proper documentation and easy won.
This is not our parents America, lots of change and illogical expectation's. At our age guess it's best to accept life on life's terms.
It's been done often. I saw it on stage and movies Another one is phantom of the Opera. Very often done and highest grossing play ever. I have DVD CD and movie book
Another excellent film, "Heaven Knows, Mr Allison" Starring Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr. Takes place during WW2 when a U.S. Marine is washed ashore on a tiny island and discovers the only person on the island, a nun. A charming film.
Hi Richard, I saw it many years ago and cannot remember it at all. So, I will watch it again. It sounds good. I recently saw a new movie called "Philomena" and thought it was very well done. I recommend it. Stay well, John.
Richard, here is a second recommendation that I thought of a few minutes ago. It is one of the very best movies I have ever seen. It is a two part movie with the first part or disc called "Jean de Florette" and the second part or disc called "Manon of the Spring". It's a French movie with subtitles but so absorbing you stop noticing the subtitles. I have watched this double feature at least half a dozen times over the years. It's a classic. Available on Amazon. If you decide to buy it, be careful about getting a product that plays in the United States.
I recently discovered on Youtube the film: The Count of Monte Cristo starring Richard Chamberlain (1974). It is one of my all-time favorites. A novel written by Alexandre Dumas in 1844. If you use Youtube be sure to select the one that runs 2hr, 17minutes.
I have been meaning to watch that. Looked up Richard Chamberlain the other day. He is still alive and kicking AND looking good.
Daughter and I were talking about movies yesterday. The C.G effects and explosions used in today's movies compared to the simplicity of the older ones. I told her we should watch The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming! Loved that movie.
Another of my favorite films is the wonderful production of Agatha Christie's "Witness for the Prosecution" staring Charles Laughton and Marlene Dietrich (1957) Can be seen on Gomovies.sx for free. The ending is a major surprise.
Another fantastic film is, "The Darkest Hour". A true story of the 1st few weeks of Sir Winston Churchill as Prime Minister. Gary Oldman does a fantastic acting job as Winston Churchill. May 10th, 1940. The German's are invading western Europe and P.M. Neville Chamberlain has lost the confidence of Parliament and Churchill is selected to replace him. He is immediately under tremendous pressure to save the 300 K British soldiers trapped and surrounded in Dunkirk. A central theme are some of Churchill's greatest early speaches. Can be viewed for free on gomovies.sx. Just type in the film name to select it.
