I liked the film Shenandoah with Jimmy Stewart. At my young age, it presented some of the terrible events of the civil war although there are much more graphic films.
Thanks for reminding me of the movie, we may watch it again. Stewart doesn't seem to play in real violent movies although war is violent some are more so than others.
I am watching a TV series called "The Offer". It is based on how the "Godfather" movie was made. It is not a documentary but rather a dramatic series with great acting and a lot of twists and turns about what the Hollywood executives, producers, writers, actors, etc had to overcome to get the movie made. I highly recommend it.
We just started watching a new series on Netflix that seems decent, at 3 episodes in anyway, “Night Agwnt”. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13918776/
