What I've always found funny is that Michigan is "The Wolverine State" even though wolverines have never been native to Michigan. What the....?
I guess just wishful thinking on the part of the Michigan people. The wanted to identify with such a warrior.
Maybe "Wolverine" was some local beverage in the past? B E S U R E T O D R I N K Y O U R W O L V E R I N E I went looking for an answer as to why Michigan is called that, and in addition to "there's no for sure reason," I came across an article that said in 2004 the Michigan Dept of Natural Resources confirmed the sighting of a wolverine. It was the first sighting in 200 years. So they seem to have a history...and a present...in the state. Never mind. I think that's a spoof. It's not really clear. Idiots! But the article contains a couple of theories as to the origins of the nickname. (idiots)
Regarding the first video: that did not end well for the wolf. You gotta wonder why it charged and then engaged the wolverine in the first place. Surely it must have known it would lose.
