Even if those numbers are correct, they are mostly temporary jobs. After construction the pipeline is estimated to create only 51 permanent jobs across four states.

What about all the trucking jobs hauling oil, and their spinoffs? Those jobs will be lost. It's very similar to what automation has done to manufacturing, imo.

So......you would rather see nearly 200,000 jobs lost?

All construction is temporary but workers depend on the job going until it is finished.

< shrugs > how many people get sick and die every day from the leaking wells and airborne, water toxic, and other air pollution already, for the last 75 years ?
According to published statistics the last ten or twenty years, 6000 people die EVERY DAY.... because of pollution. Many have shown that pollution (which of course includes oil , methane, etc )
was the real reason the pandemic was made up - to take the focus of the deaths by pollution, to deny them, and to claim some unknown, unseen, unfound, unproven virus was responsible.

So, before adding deaths, disease and illness to hundreds of thousands of people, FIRST FIX what is wrong, eh !?

I agree that things need to be fixed but what does your premise have to do with 200,000 people who will not have jobs after tomorrow?

Of course her being intelligent, accomplished, talented, and eminently qualified had nothing to do with it.

Like deceptive politics, so many jobs in one area does not mean it is better than alternatives.
    i.e.for example...
if providing polluting jobs to any number of people
instead of providing non-polluting jobs to even more people,
which seems best to you ?
The 200,000 , or even 500,000 people instead of only 200,000 people,
could be put to work cleaning up what is already making many people ill and dying....
    then they would have jobs,
and people would start getting better, or at least slow down the illnesses and dying, eh ?

I don't think Ken wants to see abbreviations like this on his forum. I think most of us know what the "F" means in it. Not appropriate, to me anyway.

Why use the abbreviation in the first place? I've never/ever seen anyone on this forum used it or any like it.
Actually, there is a band named LMFAO, but the "F" stands for "freaking". I just looked it up. But, most folks don't look at the "F" as the word "freaking", but the other word.

Finding Harris. hmmmmm. she was there I swear it. Oh yeah, she dropped out of the running. Obviously, someone didn’t think she is “eminently qualified” to become the President of the United States.

Why don't you let Ken and the mods worry about moderating? I see no rule against LMFAO.
