They were the first to really push electric cars and they are the first to abandon them due to the problems involved, mostly with battery technology.
I don't know when the Europeans (and the Brits) will realize that Biden and the U.S. are trying to destroy Europe in order to save the U.S. I think Macron realizes this now and that is why (partly) that he is courting China and BRICS. The first sign was the Nord Stream destruction, in which (for some reason) Norway was complicit. Norway may profit from the loss of gas from Russia, but most of Europe will suffer inflation and much higher energy prices as a result.
It was no joke, when he slips up, like how they had the fix in on the 2020 elections, it's just that a mental slip but truth
Cluster Bombs were designed for runway and aircraft parking areas. They lay there and don't explode until they are messed with, the purpose was to delay the clean up and repair of runways after we attacked and destroyed them. Used as they were intended to be used should be the same. It's like the ban of using 50 caliber weapons against personnel, that too is banned but no one follows the laws of the people that sit at a desk and were probably the guys that had a big hand in starting the war in the first place. You use anything you can get to protect yourself and kill an enemy. Too bad these morons who have nothing better to do can't join the fight and see what it's like to fight a war. On of my personal dislikes is using personnel to breech doors on mud huts when we have bombs by the millions just for that purpose. They told the enemy what time we would be there and then we huff and puff and blow your mud hut down. Naturally the enemy was more than happy to know they would not be bombed and you would be knocking at the door at a specific time. Now how stupid is that ? I'm glad I got to be old and possible for me to say how much I hate the leadership in our government and the military, they have a ton of innocent blood on their hands the past 30 years.
Yeah, now Biden wants to kill civilian Russians and Ukrainians as well to protect his "investments" in Ukraine. What a nasty man!
Wonder if the UK will be critical of Biden if he does. UK, Canada, Spain, Germany join allies defying US bid to give cluster bombs to Ukraine (presstv.ir)
‘Stop SUCKING UP to the Americans!’ | Peter Hitchens says UK-US special relationship doesn't exist - YouTube
Here it is in written format. It is not a pleasant read. And while this was provoked by Biden's statements regarding the "special relationship," the duplicity [sadly] long predates him. I was unaware of most of this.
I think the "Special Relationship" still exists, but not perhaps in all aspects at all times. We did, after all, get our legal system and language from the English/British, but we rejected the parliamentary system that had developed in Britain over centuries. During the 19th century, Britain was the arrogant one, lording it over much of the world with the largest empire in history and an aristocracy that lorded over their own lower classes and looked down upon the rest of the world with disdain. That began to change in WWI and after as the aristocracy began its decline. Britain supported the break up of the U.S. during the Civil War in part to support their own importance on the world stage as the U.S. grew in significance. The Entente needed the U.S. to break the stalemate in Europe and Germany provided the excuse for America to enter the war. In the inter-war years, Britain maintained its hold over most of its empire to the significant advantage of the home country despite the terrible toll taken by the war in men and resources. As Hitler began his march through Europe, most Americans wanted us to stay out, feeling the victors in the first war did not appreciate the contribution of U.S. lives and funding in the first war. Roosevelt was a big fan of Britain AND Stalin's USSR. He (Roosevelt) did not have enough support to enter the war but did what he could to provide Britain with resources to continue the war. Roosevelt was not a big fan of Churchill, as he believed Churchill's main concern was not so much the defeat of Hitler, although that was necessary, but the maintenance of the British Empire at all costs, a goal Roosevelt did not support. After WWII, Britain was in tatters and their economy destroyed, along with much of the world. The U.S. had the only real functioning economy on the planet, which gave them almost carte blanche in dictating the terms of the recovery. During the 1950s, the U.S. was the dominant military and economic power, but that began to wain as we got mired down in Vietnam. The U.S. asked Great Britain to join them as an ally in the war and Churchill, who had regained the PM absolutely refused. Much of the Commonwealth did join the Americans in the folly that was the Southeast Asian War. Since that time, the U.S. has acted--and been allowed to act--as though they still had the power of the post-WWII years although it has been waning since Vietnam. Now we have perhaps the most corrupt, incompetent administration in U.S. history that is destroying relationships everywhere and acting like they are still the big dog of the Western World. It is truly sad for us and our allies that we are now choosing bureaucrats by their gender, sexual preference, and "wokeness" rather than competence and ability. I suspect the downfall of Western society will be the result. Biden's (or his puppetmaster's) choice to supply weapons outlawed in most of the world to Ukraine is a sign of the lack of moral integrity that now exists in American government.
I love how the liberal media treats Biden... he breached royal protocol by putting his hand on Charles's back (Don't TOUCH!!), probably to keep from falling on his face. The press treats it like "oh, they are such close friends; no biggie." But when Trump didn't follow protocol with QE, the shrieking and pearl-clutching went on for days. Gah.
