@Bess Barber I kind of did. Once, in July, on my lunch break while working for Sears, I shot over to the big supermarket nearby for a bite. The clouds were black, it was about 5PM, no sign of rain, very hot. When I came out of the store, my car, parked with windows left open, had 2 inches of hailstones in it. Outside, they were quickly melting on the parking lot, and running downhill and away. I was shocked, and surprised. Should have known by then of the unpredictability of the Desert! This happened in Phoenix, AZ. Frank
@Holly Saunders A plaque located at Red Rock Canyon west of Las Vegas states, "The Desert is a harsh master. Surviving in it the wildlife have had to adapt in many ways".
