Years ago I hunted for the dumbest simplest flipphone I could find. Under Settings it doesn't even have the Privacy option in your list, so I assume I have no Covid app. But you know what they say about assuming. It makes an a__ out of you and you. It still has email and internet capabilities but I don't use them. Getting and receiving calls and getting voice messages is all I need.

If you have a flip phone, you likely don't have the app. The app requires BlueTooth to work. A flip phone is not gonna have that.

Hey Dwight, Apple has launched its COVID-19 "Exposure Notification Express" in the newest iOS update. This means users will be able to opt-in to the exposure notification system, making it much easier for public health authorities to contact-trace. Google's version will be rolling out in the Android update later this month. I've never had anything to do with Apple. I'm going to look into what this all about. It looks like a huge people tracking system which the fools are supposed to sign up for themselves. While I'm researching, if anyone knows what this about, please inform us.

I'm not the best computer geek, but this gobble de gook sounds like the opting-in means surrendering any privacy you have and allows them to possibly monitor your emails and other communications.
Virginia's health department rolled this out. They have an app called "CovidWise." Supposed to be anonymous tokens. If your phone's token gets within the token of someone who is known to be infected, you'll get notification to call the health department for instructions on how to "protect you and your family." This can include 2 weeks self-quarantine. I don't know how this can be called anonymous if they call your phone# to inform you. Your phone becomes the functional equivalent of an ankle bracelet. I guess sheep aren't known for their intellect. As an aside, the head of our state health department has said that when a vaccine becomes available, he will make it mandatory.

To me it is tedious and fatiguing to do so. I scan much research and research interpretation, always looking for opposing views before I form any opinion. Then, in discussing Covid-19 issues with anyone, I can't document my opinion with evidence.To the person with whom I'm discussing these issues, I fail to rise above the onus of conspiracy theorist.
There are times when asking for a citation would be reasonable, as when someone is saying something that no one has ever heard before. Usually though, such requests are made in an attempt to shut the conversation down without having to bother with counter-arguments. In a discussion, which is what we do here, there's generally no reason for it, and the implication is that nobody's brain works reliably unless they are employed by a media source that furthers whatever agenda someone has signed onto.
