I didn't get any photos... but this morning while the coffee was making I was watching 5 or 6 little sparrows in the bird bath outside my kitchen window. They were having a big party in there and splashed most of the water out. :D So cute.

My mom is a total bird lover!! She used to feed them cold grits squares. When I see her in a couple of weeks, I'm going to share all your pictures. She will be so thrilled!!

That's an interesting composition. When you look at the photo you think you are looking at roses, and you are. There are the older roses and new blooms on the bush but then your eye strolls down and you see perched down below, Mr Bluebird, as big as you please, taking in his own sights. The photo is in focus. It could be a mite sharper but sometime hand held cameras do not get the Nth degree of sharpness, but this is good because we can see the tiny thorns also budding out on a bush branch and a little belly fuzz on the bird's frontal area. Good photo, Ms Shirley.

Thanks, @Bill Boggs. I don't know thing about composition. I just saw him sitting there, grabbed my camera and took the picture through the storm door in my kitchen. :D

I saw a pileated woodpecker in my dogwood tree December 13, eating dogwood berries. We have a few of them here but they don't come to feeders. The only way to see them is go birdwatching in the woods. This is the first one I have ever seen. I was so excited that I didn't try to go outside to get a better picture. I was afraid he would leave before I could get a picture. I took these pictures through my kitchen window at an angle. They are awful but I'm adding them to my collection, anyway.

My father in law had a Budgerigar (Budgie) aviary like this. Again my snap shots have gone missing.
