Was gonna get it at Marine.com, where I've got most of my parts, but was having trouble bringing it up; so I checked amazon, and they had it, so I ordered it from them.
Amazing, huh? But I gotta think there are still plenty of boat parts brick & mortar stores in your neck of the country.
There is a lot of them, but I've no problem with who ever has it, as long as it's a quality part. Amazon, has a lot of made in America stuff too. "Surprised me", a couple of times.
This is what I am doing to get it ready for river rides and fishing. I run it a half hour or so before taking it out to fish. Works for me, I do have the ears I use sometimes too but I like using the can better, for some reason.
Ran it for over 1/2 hour, as I said, and it did great, I had changed the plugs in it last time I worked on it, and replaced the throttle cable, so it's good to go now.
Moved the boat around today with the truck to keep the tires good, then parked it in a different spot, not good to let tires sit in the same spot for a long time. Getting ready to take it out on the water soon. It's cooler now and I like to go in the middle of the week when it's not as many boats flying by you, more fun for me and better fishing too. I will post some photos here after I go out.
We will be having U-Haul put a hitch/tow bar on our new (to us) 2021 Dodge Durango GT. Our boat, the 20' Celebrity Cuddy Cabin w/large V-8, hasn't been on Lake Mead here yet. Took all three (Starting/House/Trailer (electric winch) batteries home to recharge. Before having the boat transported here to Nevada/Lake Mead area, had some serious engine work done on it. New carb, plugs/wires, distributor cap. After the work was done, took it out on Boyd Lake, and it ran perfectly. After that, had it transported here. Got the boat registered here in Nevada (Nevada Wildlife Office, and, fortunately, they didn't need to see the boat. However, may keep the trailer with Colorado August 2024 tags/license plate on it. The DMV here wants to actually see our boat trailer VIN number before registering it. DMV in Colorado needed the same verification, but took the boat/trailer to a business that builds trailers and had them verify/print out a verification for the DMV. It's some distance between where our boat/trailer storage is, inside Lake Mead Recreational Area, and the DMV office here. Anyway, a LOT of out-of-state boats at Lake Mead, in the water (slips) and in our storage area. Last time we went fishing, with our old/sold Invader Bowrider, was in 2006, while still in Colorado the first time. Funny, but for the 10 1/2 years we lived in Jacksonville, Florida, we never once went fishing on the St. John's River and only took the Celebrity on the ocean once (for an extremely short time). Got rid of all of our saltwater gear, but kept all of our freshwater gear.
Went out with Leo and Foxy and they did fantastic, seeing it was their first time on a boat. I noticed in this photo that I caught Foxy with her tongue sticking out. See a couple of kayakers ahead on the left. Got a photo of a Crane, Egret, or Heron bird.
