Hannaford in Millinocket has carried these for a while but I tried them for the first time a week ago, and they are great. It looks like they make it as ice cream too, but our store only carries the Chilly Cow bars. I liked all of the ones I have tried but the caramel is by far the best. I don't, but I could eat them all day.
Grab a Spoon! Chilly Cow: Mint Dark Chocolate Chip & Brown Butter Salted Caramel Ice Cream Review "They were $3.98 each at Walmart. They are only 180 calories per tub. " "The reason the ice cream is so low calorie is because multiple sugar alternatives are used, with just enough sugar to cover the aftertaste of the alternatives. Inulin sweetens and is a fiber. Erthytritol and stevia are also sweeteners and both are also used."
Ingredients: ULTRAFILTERED NONFAT MILK (NOT AN INGREDIENT IN REGULAR ICE CREAM), INULIN, SUGAR, ERYTHRITOL, CREAM, CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF NATURAL FLAVOR, STEVIA LEAF EXTRACT (REB M), GLYCERINE, SALT, SKIM MILK, COCONUT OIL, SEA SALT, CAROB BEAN GUM, PECTIN, WATER, SUNFLOWER LECITHIN, BAKING SODA, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, ... It looks good at-lease it is not thickened with wheat
Can't have the sugar alcohols and they're in so many reduced calorie desserts. Magnum double caramel is my favorite ice cream bar.
Those sugar substitutes make for an exciting time around here, so I stick with a smaller amount of "real" ice cream to avoid bathroom emergencies.
Unfortunately, our only grocery store quit stocking the Chilly Cow bars, which I like, although they stock other Chilly Cow products that I don't like.
