We will both do washing when it needs to be done but hubby won’t ever pick my washing off the line cause I asked him not to long long ago cause he will fold stuff as he picks it off the line …and I don’t like my washing folded he says I’m fussy I like to hang any clothing in the walk in robe straight off the line or put it away in drawers ….and any ironing usually gets done at the same time . ( I put all t~Shirts / long pants ect on hangers) I usually take them to our bedroom and sort on the bed . I hand wash any jumpers or “good” cloths like dancing tops / skirts so they don’t get ironed as they are mostly jersey type fabrics ( we don’t wear anything frilly or fancy for dancing) just good type of clothing you don’t wear everyday . We don’t have a dryer
Being in apartment no clothes line. But the house where we are going to move has one. i will use it weather permitting for large items like bed spread, shower curtains etc. I use clothes pins for closing chip bags and other things- so I already have some
i love a clothesline...I zap them a little bit in dryer to soften up....i don't care how he would hang them... that way...when i am not able...he will do them...
Since I retired in late 2007, and became my wife's maid and driver, I do all of the laundry and use washer and dryer. When I injured my one foot, from a fall, even though I was in a wheelchair, I was still able to do laundry. Surprised the heck out of my wife when she got home from work and the laundry was done and clothes on hangers waiting for her to put hers away. After having rotator cuff surgery and wearing a sling, I was still able to do laundry. Heck, I still had one good arm/shoulder! For 21 years, being divorced/single, I had to do my own laundry, cooking and cleaning. I brought those traits into our marriage and my wife loves it.
