My manual says to use it when you need better acceleration, like changing lanes, merging onto highways, or passing vehicles. So you use it when you're in motion. For some reason, it won't turn on when Adaptive Cruise Control is engaged. I guess you gotta be in manual control of the acceleration.

Volvo had the W button. It shifted to 4wd and kept the gear lower longer when you pushed it for snow (at least that is why we used it. Didn't need a sports car). You were supposed to do that at a stop. But I think it depends on the vehicle. You might check your owner's manual to find out for your truck.

Yeh, I should have said that. You should find a downloadable owners manual...it's real handy to have on the computer.

We have the Official Mopar Site For Dodge, for our Durango, on our computer and I did look up "Sport" on the Manual. It didn't say how/when to use the switch, it simply stated what "Sport" does. We'll have to try it to make sure it works. But, if it makes our Durango feel like a NASCAR race car, no thanks, won't use it again.

Well, today, not only did we change our clocks for Daylight Savings Time, but it's also our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. We love DST! That way, if we have to go anywhere after my wife gets off of work at 4PM (at home job), we can go somewhere to eat or whatever and not have to drive in the dark. I can drive in the dark, but she can't. As for our Anniversary dinner, going to Outback Steakhouse in full western attire (not big-city attire). Then again, we never/ever dress "big city". LOL

Hopefully, if things go ok and "God willing", for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in two years, we will fly to Ft. Worth, Texas for their major rodeo and take in all of the "cowboy" stuff Ft. Worth has to offer. Like, the Stockyards, Cowboy Channel Bar, Cowboy Channel Studios and so on. We have to do this before we both hit 80 and are still physically able to do it.

Nope, only travel plans are a 1-week trip to Carson City/Reno area for relocation purposes. But, since we didn't have all of this high-tech stuff on our old Durango, we love the new high-tech stuff we have now. There are sensors all over our the engine, on each tire and other places.

First, an "undesirable" neighbor, mother/young daughter, that lived right next to us, didn't get their Lease renewed, so they had to move out. The word "undesirable" came from apt. complex manager and leasing agents, when I mentioned to them about the residents. The residents left there front door open, and as we came to our apartment, we glanced inside. It was an absolute/disastrous mess! It was really, really disgusting! Maintenance had went in for some reason and reported back to management on how it looked. They had also allowed a homeless lady to live in one of the bedrooms, but not register with the office. She was evicted a number of weeks ago. Management thought she was selling drugs and refused to register with them. The mother is pretty much disabled, but, unfortunately, the 20ish daughter didn't want to clean up at all. Management had already done a few reports with local P.D. about residents.

Due to time change and being awfully tired, we had to wait a week before celebrating our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. I got my Fillet Mignon and Nancy got her lobster. She also had a very stiff Gin & Tonic. In total western attire, including the black felt hats, we did get some looks and, probably, everyone thought we were tourists. IOW, definitely not from the area. Wild, but we talked to one lady who was the first woman Swat Team member with the San Bernadino Sheriff's Dept. She knew about the rodeo I had in San Bernadino back in the late 80's.

Last weekend, along with going to Outback Steakhouse, we went to South Point Hotel/Casino for a team roping championship in one of their equestrian arenas. Of course, we completely "fit in" with what we were wearing and it was the event I use to do in professional rodeo. Anyway, one guy came in that was bald and his head completely covered in tattoos, as well as his face/arms. Guess he really, really wanted to be noticed, because he was!

Well, that's it (for now). LOL

Let's not "jump the gun" so fast, Marie. We are visiting there first, before making the decision to move there. And, yes, all of the bells and whistles on our 2021 Durango, that, to a point, seniors don't want or like. And, if they do have a newer vehicle like that, most likely, like my SIL, most of the bells and whistles aren't used.

Are you two even ready to settle down yet? And I'm one of those people who wouldn't know how to use them, Jake would, if not he would figure it out.

We are ready to settle down, but definitely NOT here! Should have visited here before moving here, but financially couldn't do it. We have found out that there are many seniors, Baby Boomers and older, that don't like all of the bells and whistles of new vehicles. Some of them don't even use hardly any that come with a new vehicle. However, I'm like Jake.

#1: Congrats on finding another apartment manager who will tell you that your neighbor is "undesirable." One of these days you're gonna be subpoenaed in a slander suit.

#2: I LOVE the bells & whistles on my new car. Last I looked, I'm a Boomer.
-I used the adaptive cruise control all the time.
-I have the Blind Spot Monitor AND the beep enabled if I put my signal on with a car there.
-I have the Warning on in case I start to drift over the line (middle or shoulder.)
-I have whatever-you-call-it that prevents me from running in to the back of another car.
-I have a warning that lets me know if I'm following too closely (I set the distance.)

I would not have ordered any of those things separately, but I have them on all of the time.

The only thing that is not enabled is the feature that automatically steers me back to the center of my lane in case I start to drift. I let the computer control the accelerator and the brake, but for some reason controlling the steering is outside of my comfort zone.

I also have not hooked up my smartphone to the system, since I have XM Radio and a NAV System in the car, and I don't use my phone for music or directions on or out of the car.

Exactly what bells & whistles do you have that you don't like? Or did I misunderstand your comment.
