The Gunship blend is very as I thought it would be since the beans smelled good. However, it tastes pretty much like another of their coffees. I can't remember which, but I don't know that this is a truly distinct blend.
Just in time, another order arrived from Black Rifle. The one on the right is the Silencer Smooth blend in a new package. That's a light roast, one of my favorites but I've had it a couple of times before. The other one is new, and I haven't tried it yet. It's a dark roast.
I ordered some Hawaiian Kauai coffee from Amazon, and so far, I am really liking it. It came with 3 flavors, and the packs are vacuum sealed, so I am not opening up a second one until I have used up all of the first one. The one I am using right now is the Coconut Caramel Crunch, and it has just the right amount of flavor, and is a rich coffee with a wonderful aroma.
Our k-cup coffeemaker has been about to give up on us for a while now. When I saw one (a real Keurig !) on sale for almost half price on Prime Day, I ordered it and yesterday, it arrived. I like it a lot better than the old one. This one has a canister on the back for water, so you do not have to put water in the top every time you want coffee, you just have to make sure that the canister has water. It works faster than the old one, too, and seems to make a great cup of coffee. I am so happy about that, that I ordered some flavored decaf coffee k-cups. Now I can have two cups of coffee if I want to. I have a cup of regular coffee in the morning, but in the evening, when I think I would like another cup before bedtime, I don’t dare do it, because it might keep me awake.
My new coffees from Black Rifle. I haven't tried either of them yet because I just came in from working in the backyard and I am all hot and sweaty, so hot coffee doesn't sound like the best idea right now. They are both medium roasts.
my keurig broke down right at the start of the pandemic. the supermarket would only deliver mr coffee so i went back to pot brewing. i got a blueberry cobbler coffee that with french vanilla creamer is a delight. today however i have starbuck's espresso dark roast in there.
Sigh. I'm actually looking at half-caff k-cups today. These get pretty good reviews so I guess I'll give 'em a shot. I figure if they are the "world's best" then if they suck I might as well not bother trying any others.
I haven't tried those but I do buy the half-caff K-cups sometimes, not because I'm cutting down on caffeine but because it's one of the few K-cup coffees. that our store carries that I like.
I'm thinking that since caffeine increases the heart rate this might help my suddenly galloping heart. Probably not, but hey.
Review: The World's Best Half-Caff K-Cups actually don't suck. I had one tonight after waking up from my mexican food coma, and didn't pour it down the drain! It's definitely not a favorite, but I did add it to my auto-delivery order from Amazon, at least as long as the heart galloping situation exists. I give it a "not bad" rating.
