I kind of go in cycles where I enjoy and drink a lot of coffee, then I slack off and don't drink much at all. Don't know why that is, but right now I'm in a coffee drinkin' phase. I drink 4 or 5 cups a day, though I drink small (6 oz) cups... not mugs.
I drink more coffee in the winter just because it is cold and I want something hot to drink, and in the summer I want something icy cold. Even when I am drinking coffee, some days it tastes delicious, and some days it tastes like warmed up mud, and it is the same exact coffee as I had the day before. I have no idea what the difference is. If coffee tastes yucky to me, then I make tea, and it will taste good to me. I still do not like Maxwell House Coffee, and I will be glad when I finish it, and hoping I like the Folgers better. Today’s coffee is Eggnog coffee, and it is delicious !
We both drink coffee early, then a cup around noon. I like Folgers dark roast I fix one cup at a time, Jake drinks instant coffee.
I usually have mine in the morning, and then switch to the Chicoraya (chickory coffee with inulin) in the afternoons in the winter when it is cold and I want something hot to drink. It does not keep me awake like coffee does if I have it later in the day. I used to drink dark roast, but now I just get the lightest roast I can find because it has more anti-oxidants, and I need that. The chickory is instant, so that is easy to make a cup at a time as I want it.
So the light roast has more anti-oxidants, good to know I'd though the opposite. I'm still taking the Restore you advised.
The dark roast is burned more, which is why it is so dark. I like the flavor of the light roast much better than the flavor of the dark roast, too. It just tastes burned to me, and the light roast has coffee flavor and not burned flavor, plus still has the anti-oxidants that are burned up in the dark roasts. I think it all depends on what a person enjoys. I remember that at one time, I really enjoyed the burned taste of dark roast, but now I don’t like it anymore.
My problem seems to be with the coffeemaker. I'm not sure what might have gone wrong, but the same coffee tastes fine when I make a pot using a $8 coffeemaker. My Moss & Stone coffeemaker is over three years old, so I guess that's not so bad. There is some corrosion where the percolator stem sits in the coffeemaker, and although I have tried bleach and vinegar (not at the same time), seemingly that wasn't enough. Since the drip coffeemaker doesn't fit well with my office space, I guess I'll shop for another electric percolator in the next few days, maybe so that it will arrive when I return from Arlington.
I'm in the same mode. I don't know why. For the past several years I would drink a couple of cups in the AM and that would be it for me.
Coffee price surges to highest on record BBC Dec 10, 2024 From the article: On Tuesday, the price for Arabica beans, which account for most global production, topped $3.44a pound (0.45kg), having jumped more than 80% this year. The cost of Robusta beans, meanwhile, hit a fresh high in September. It comes as coffee traders expect crops to shrink after the world's two largest producers, Brazil and Vietnam, were hit by bad weather and the drink's popularity continues to grow. One expert told the BBC coffee brands were considering putting prices up in the new year. The article said to expect higher prices in the coming year, so stock up!
TARIFFS!!!!!! I'm more concerned over all the mental illness he has caused. I knew he was gonna use those 5G towers to do this, although somehow I feel unaffected.
