    Doesn't look like it.

Did I tell you that my crazy old uncle died a while back and left me his only heir?

One of his possessions was a battered old trunk. As I was going through it, down near the bottom, I found this old photograph.

I took a good look at the photo. It was taken in the thirties. Yes that is me no doubt about it.. much younger then.. but there is something different about my uncle....

On the back of the photograph, it said "Uncle Eddie and Aunt June." The handwriting was florid.

The original of the picture I posted is actually my grandparents. I have always thought I look like her so I used it for the Story with my face instead of hers.

So, here is the idea I had for the Story. BTY, this is all made up, not true. :)

My crazy old Uncle Eddie was very much in love with my Grandmother. So was his brother. They got in a fight and Crazy Uncle Eddie hit his brother Bob hard. Bob fell, hit his head on a rock, and died. Shattered by guilt and grief, Crazy Uncle Bob fled to the deep mountains. He took the picture of him and Grandmother with him and kept it always. Grandfather was the younger brother in the family. He was by Grandmother's side through all the tragedy. They grew to love each other and married. When Crazy Uncle Bob knew he would soon die, he made a will leaving me all his worldly goods.

That is only his rustic little cabin in the mountains and this trunk. There is a letter in the very bottom of the trunk. It tells the story of his love for Grandmother. It also tells of a tree that he discovered in the mountains; a tree that grows money ~~~~~ a magic money tree. He gives directions on how to find it but they are not clear directions. He also warns that there may be a curse on the tree but he doesn't say what or how.

Should we go try to find the tree?

So Shirley are you crazy Uncle Eddie's only surviving relative? Is he likely to have many worldly goods. If he was crazy he may have found some gold "in them thar mountains" and stashed it away for only you to find.....
