Maybe that's what he meant by the money tree. It could be that he buried the money beneath the tree.

 

. A magic money tree? No stashed gold. A curse . Dont like the sound of that. Still Shirley he is your great uncle.. so I guess we go. Who is coming with us......

 

I found his little cabin in the hills.



It's off the beaten path so we will have to trek in. We will need supplies.

 

That is crazy Uncle Eddie's cabin? Looks a bit grandiose. I imagined his cabin would be more something like this.

 

I said he was crazy, not poor.

 

I will pop into town and pick up supplies. What other than the obvious.. food, water etc.. do we need?

 

Some kind of warm clothing. It gets awfully cold in the Smokys this time of year.

 

Snug fleecy lined jackets with hoods. Perfect for the chilly Smokys. Will take me an hour to get this lot.

 

And skis. It's snowing up there.

 

The terrain is rocky so these snow shoes may be more practical.

 

Two hours later we set out for the cabin.

 

At first it was easy going but then........

 

the weather closed in and a blizzard hit us...

 

Struggling along, half blind from the snow, we debated what to do.

 

..pitch our tents and ride out the storm or go on....
