A am calling him Phantom Terence. I had a similar dog in Australia. Then Muck up Monk is useless to us Shirley. Plan B use the map the Clampetts gave us...
Poor Monk and his twin fell out of the ugly tree when they were born, and hit every branch on the way down. Nevertheless, they're not as dumb as they look, and mean well. Looks ain't everything. What breed is your Phantom dog Craig? You know how much I love dogs so it worries me to send them in first. Still, they're smart dogs and Jetson can report back to us. How far can he telepath you Shirley? I'd be happy to scout out the dead end with them. I think Monk is on the right path.
Monk's uglier than he is stupid Craig. I reckon we should investigate? Look through my Zeiss binoculars. I can watch the dogs sneak up.
Kelpies are great dogs Craig. That's the house at the end of this dead end road Craig where possibly Sister Philomena and the mad moonshinning Dad and kids are holed up. Maybe Monk's wrong but we should be cautious just in case. Watch for traps too. Moonshinners! As Shirley said, how about letting the dogs sneak up and spy with Jetson reporting the Canine tales to Shirley. I'd like to follow at a distance with my rifle, just in case.
Good idea. As Deputy Crow has not turned up.. I will wear the badge. Robin and I will be round back in case any of those crazy moonshiners try to make a run for it. Best let me have a handgun too...
NO! Don't shoot him! He is only crazy with grief. Sister Philomena is inside with him. She only needs a little time to console him and get the gun away from him. I'll send Jetson in and he can help her calm him down. He has way of reaching out to humans.
I'm with Shirley Craig. Poor man is crazy with grief and a gentle dog like Jetson could soothe his mind. Let's call your idea plan B? I'll hide in the bushes with my rifle just in case. Monk's staying back looking after the horses with the Clampetts. I once heard Jethro wants to be a brain surgeon. My brain is fine.
Jetson, Fred and Shadow have just come back and said that Sister Philomena has calmed him down and they are talking. He gave her the gun and she has unloaded it. So let's just wait here for right now.
Shirley, please ask 'Jetson' to ask our dogs, my hyper 'Fred' and Craig's invisible 'Phantom' Kelpie to find them. 'Find the missing childrem!' I have smelly socks for our smelly underdogs who can patrol for the lost children. I hold my hand up to Monk, our horses, the Clampetts and ride to speak to them. "Easy, easy seems to be working but the children have disappeared. Keep watch please Mr Clampett, Granny, Monk, and kin. We got 3 dogs searching.Could your Bloodhound Maurice please help Mr Clampett? Here's a sock and a shoe.
Just then Jetson's ears perked up. He sensed danger! He signaled Fred and Phantom and their ears immediately perked up, too. They took off running as fast as they could to the cabin. Terence, Craig and I ran after them at our top speed. Something had to be horribly wrong! Run, y'all!!!!! Run!!! The dogs stopped just outside the door. When we got to the open door of the cabin, we could see inside. The crazy man had had another gun hidden. He had it pointed at Sister Philomena. We could see by the insane look in his eyes that he intended to kill her. He looked up and saw us at the door. He pulled the trigger. The gun went off. Sister Philomena collapsed to the floor. Oh, my God!!!! Oh, my God!!!! Terence and Craig both shot at the same instant. The man fell to the floor. Terence gathered Sister Philomena into his arms. "Is she dead?," I asked. "No," Terence replied, "but she is bleeding badly." "We need to get her to the hospital quickly or she will die." Just then we heard the sound of a helicopter approaching. It was Deputy Crow. He had looked up the history of the man and found out that he had a violent past. He came to help us as soon as he heard. They loaded Sister Philomena onto the copter and took off. Will she live? Or will she die? Stay tuned.
Terence did his best to staunch Sister Philomena's bleeding hip wound whilst Craig ascertained that the sad moonshiner was indeed dead. Crow bought in a good med kit with bandages and medicines for Philomena. Even a small shot of morphia for the pain. Terence pressed his silver cross into her hand wrapping its chain about her wrist. Then the stretcher to the chopper and strapping in. Crow promised to take her to the main hospital in Plymouth with all haste. "God Speed" yelled Terence with tears in his eyes. As the sound of the chopper receded, a voice said "Hi, I'm 3rd class deputy Paul Swift, and Deputy Crow left me to make room for the wounded nun, tidy up, take photos and statements, please. Deputy Crow has already given me the big picture, just some details are needed. I see the Clampetts are here too, and Monk. I'll radio in about the body. Poor fool. Many say he was a real craftsman. No doubt there will be friction as others vie for his Market. God, look at his gear here, a work of art." "Where are his three small children?" said 3rd class Deputy Paul Swift. "Here they are" called out Elli May. "They was hiding in the chicken coup. Best take em to the Orphanage Terence." 3rd class deputy Paul Swift nodded as he blushed.
