Those Volcanoes are amazing Craig and Shirley.
It's more exciting in Captain Nemroy's helicopter and brilliant views.
Can we go lower? I'd like to see a Lava river.

Yes we also flew over Mount Kilauea on way back to the ship. Spitting its fire at usual. But that was only the entree as when we returned to the ship we heard that Kilauea had erupted so we went up again. Wow what a great spectacle. Dont like the look of that lava stream tho. I recall after last years eruption the lava almost reached residential areas.

Nature sure is a powerful thing.
I think that lava comes from the Earth's centre along fault lines.
    Who's fault was that?

Not mine, man. I was at the movies. :)

So, back on board the ship, there was a note waiting my cabin. It said, "I hope you enjoyed your Hawaiian tour. I had my people protecting you all the while. Please join me for supper in my stateroom at 8:00. You can tell Craig and Terence. We can trust them. But please don't tell anyone else." Your lives may be in danger."

Mystery and intrigue follows us wherever we go Shirley and Terence. Now who is the secret letter writer and why does he think we need protecting?

Who wrote it and how do we know which stateroom? And not to tell anyone?
That supper could be the trap?

We couldn't bring our guns on the cruise but we could find some makeshift weapons like a bottle of wine or flyspray?

Do you think it's Bates out to get us?

As far as I know, there are four types of basic stories. Mystery-suspense, western, romance and comedy. In order for a story to develop, it must have a theme.

So, Craig, enjoy your Hawaiian holiday. a hui hou

Ya'll are forgetting adventure. Still I appear to be outvoted so intrigue and mystery it is.

When running role playing games I'd just roll dice to see what happened next, for good or bad. Happy to go with the flow but a little soft mystery and intrigue seems a good balance for us imo. Maybe a mystery to solve, ...now and then.
How about lost luggage, catching a big fish, winning at the Casino, ...or having a weird death threat as Shirley mentioned.

It's only role playing. If I die here I will simply create a new character. Easy, not like real life. It's safe to be risky here, unlike real life.
I once had a 25th lv Magic User for years called Grattlestem. He died, and lies in an old yellowing file. History of a roleplayer.

I could even do a machine gun killing Zombie apocalypse but that is crass and boring imho.

So, Terence phoned Capt Nemroy through the ship's intercom asking to speak to him or a minion about the arrangements for the meeting in his statesroom for dinner tonight. "Formal or Casual? Guns or knives?" jokingly.
Thomas the Captain's Aide said "Formal and knives might be best Sir."

That's an intriguing idea. So... if we're in a rocky field, one of us stumbles, falls, hits their head on a rock and dies; we drop that character and become another character? Or if we are in the Australian outback and get bitten by a black mamba, the character dies and we become another character? But it's still us? Sort of like we are actors playing a part in a movie? Or a story?

We are still on the ship but now we are different characters.

Shirley = Lady Ashley. Her grandfather owns a diamond mine in Africa. She hobnobs with royalty. Her family family has plenty of dosh.

Terence= Ernesto. No one knows his background. He is suspected of being an international jewel thief by Interpol. But they haven’t been able to get proof. He charms the ladies with his good looks and manners. But does he take their jewels?

Craig= Conan. He is a wealthy Australian grazier. He is a bit of an adventurer.

If y'all want to change your name or background, do it. But I always wanted to be a British lady. :) Do y'all want to see what we can do with this or try something else?

If this story plays out/ends, we can change our characters and begin another one. Maybe go to Africa to visit a diamond mine. Or to the Aussieland outback.

If @Louise Miller wants to take part in this story, she can be my personal assistant; a royal lady needs to have a personal assistant (or whatever they call them). I can't be arsed to find out. :)

And @Kate Ellery could be my royal hairdresser. :)

It escaped from the zoo. And hitched a ride on a truck to the outback. :)
