Colonel Richard, Felix and his Dome's AIs have built you a very powerful Typhra cannon on an anti grav drone platform that can fly at mach 45 and accelerate at 25 Gs, and has camouflage abilities and a high AI. Felix is coy about where he and Healani's dome came from but Tempus reckons at least 30th century Earth. Our future humans come back to save us. Altering time lines gives me a headache and Felix is many factors smarter than me. I let Felix do the computer hacking which he reckons went well. He managed to slip sevetal Trojan viruses into the deep innards of their ship's computer systems. It will melt their operating systems if they try to go to warp drive. Felix also told me their home planet is 672 light years away making it incredibly slow for them to return home. He has also put in another Trojan into their quantum long range 'communications' systems which has already totally fried their ability to message home through sub space. Others too he's not too forthcoming about. They're now effectively immobilized and unable to phone home! That's a good start. Their mothership Iqgal is on the NE Corner of this island hidden in heavy forest. I reckon Healani's butler AI Felix is by far the smartest I've ever encountered. Semi sentient too with the ability to change form and even create a hard hologram of himself like Marilyn Monroe. No, don't even think it. I'm not that base. He can also teleport! Remember I mentioned they have captive sentient Alien species also imprisoned on their ship, so a mini nuke would be immoral to use, I say. Only in Extremis?
As a bonus, when my crotchety Tempus AI watch, queried hard, it now seems Felix has got new AIs popping up in solid state. Lab assistants, security guards, mech electic workers, ....and they were making lots of things with input from us humains. After eating 3 Beef Bogan Burgers I fell asleep, into the arms of the mystical dome. Tempus kept watch as always, 24/7 Full time. A swarm of multi-coloured butterflies landed on me enveloping like a blanket.
Richard, Henri and Felix along with Healani's strongest warriors had complete surprise over the Crimsonites. In addition to the massive disintegrator .. the island scientists, aided by Henri and Felix made typha hand weapons. The disintegrator obliterated the Crimsonite domes with their leader General Hota and most of his army inside. Those aliens that fled where also vaporized by the typha ray guns. Once again Healani and her beautiful and loving people were safe and their planet was again at peace. To celebrate this peace Healani treated her new French and Australian friends from Earth's future to a special feast......
Before going to the feast, Henri, Healani, the Chief and Col Richard had a chat and then later that night set to securing the The Alien's lowly guarded Space ship. 5 Captured Crimsonites had been interrogated too, which gave us a great plus to the endeavor. The Colonel just took his guise as a Redcoat Colonel and walked right up with Tempus on his wrist throwing out a hologram of one of the leaders captured. Simultaneously, in the dead of night, the rest of us charged in and attacked with now a dozen in number, all with Typha weapons and hard wood clubs . With subterfuge and surprise mainly it was all over quickly. The Colonel's plan worked a treat. They just surrendered. They were just the Techies like me in a surrendered Starship.. and a fuel tank almost on empty. In total, there were only 6 crew, half we wounded and 2 humanoid type Aliens, each of a different Species and frozen in stasis chambers? "What are your orders Colonel?" said Henri.
My wish is to return to my time and continue my lunar retirement. I have a feeling Henri that you have something else in mind and it likely involves Healani and her people. BTW what are these friendly island people called.. I never asked................
Not sure what they're called Colonel, best ask Tealani I guess. I too want to go home to my own time too Sir, but it seems we have loose ends to tidy up here first given that space ship sitting in a forest and 3 types of Aliens, and all the high tech stuff about. Imagine how all that might alter future time lines, ours included especially. We need to tidy up. May I suggest giving the ship, all the gear and all the 11 captive Crimsonites to the now freed 2 Alien prisoners. Put the Crimsonites in Stasis and let the freed Aliens return home? Just a thought. Both of the Aliens come from semi advanced Cultures similar to these times on Earth. That just passes the buck to those less competant than even me. Tempus, my AI watch could help me. Felix would be better! Or put them "all" in Stasis, refuel the ship with Tephra, and park it in a cave on the dark side of the moon? I'd like to talk more with the 2 freed Alien captives, and ask Felix and Healani their thoughts. And the domes. Will they turn to dust too like one we saw? I left a few things in my dome I'd like to retrieve if possible. Or, we could form a crew, take the ship and explore our Galaxy. Tempting. That's my preference given home only holds debts for me I cannot repay I still just don't think we can leave things as they are. That would be wrong on many levels. I'm happy to stay behind as you surmised Colonel. I can do more good here with little reason to go home. Stay as Captain of the captured ship please Colonel Richie, you are easily the most qualified to fly this tub.
As a colonel in the Australian Space Force I did see expansive parts of our universe. But have never ventured beyond it. To do do is very tempting I have to say. I will think long and hard over this Henri. Give me time as I was contented in retirement.........
None of us can stay here. It would change the future. We have eliminated the threat from the Redcoats and we must return to our own time. I suggest we turn take the aliens to their home planets after we erase their memories of being aboard the Redcoat ship. Then return the Redcoats to their planet. Since we have destroyed their ability to travel through space, they will be harmless. Then we need to destroy the ship and return to our time. We will have to take Healani with us. To return her to her primitive state would be cruel. She will become a legend. They will talk of the She Who Talked With The Gods. The legend will say that there was great danger to the people and the gods came from the sky to save them. After the danger was over, they returned to the sky in a beam of light, taking Healani with them to become a goddess. Legend will have it that she will return someday and take all the people to the Island in the Sky where there will be no death, no pain, no hunger and all will be filled with love and happiness.
That sounds like a very good plan Healani. Felix can take his viruses out of the Crimsonite ship's systems to allow us to warp travel. He also said he can join us as a Science officer. Also, he can erase all the domes, including his own, turning them all to dust. Ironically, with the right calculations he says that we can travel back to our own time using the time dilation factors of high pulse speed. Simple he said. Stasis for us too with Felix and Tempus on 24/7 watch. As for brain wiping, Felix knows how to do that too. He's a genius! And as for destroying the ship, it can drop us off on Earth 2055 and then fly into the Sun on automatic. Do we really want that technology in 2055? Probably the safest option is to destroy the ship, but it is tempting to keep the ship to travel the stars. Very tempting. I have'nt even been to Mars. I would be honoured if you chose to Captain the Ship Colonel Richard. It's far more advanced than our 2055 technology and comes with a comprehensive weapon system. Healani, Felix, Tempus and I could be your Lieutenants. At warp 4 we can do the circuit in 6.34 years, spending time in Stasis to make it all feel like only several weeks. Their Stasis technology has even got Felix intrigued. Incidently, after a wander in the ship with me, Colonel Richie, Felix and Helani n Co, we found their Medical facilities on the Crimson ship which are highly advanced. Even capable of rejuvenations due to wounds, desease, poison, nanobots trained to seek n destroy infections, bacterial and viral, .. dna masters ...even age!! A fountain of Youth 101 jested Henri. 'Bags first. I have a few grey hairs in my beard'.
That brings up an ethical question....... should we show the doctors in our time all those medical advances? It would save many lives but is our society ready for that knowledge? Who would decide who gets the treatments? How would we explain how we obtained the knowledge? They might burn us for witches. Earth is already severely overpopulated. It would be even more so if it became possible to increase a lifespan by lifetimes.
Helani & Henri I am unable to return to my time. I have tried everything so the idea of visiting Mars for the first time appeals to me as in this present time it just may be habitable. There was talk in 2500 that there was fresh water under the surface of Mars. An expedition of engineers was sent there shortly after to see if there was any way it could be extracted. They never returned to Earth. Now this is a wild hypothesis but just imagine if now in our present time that the huge submerged water table is on the surface and the air is breathable.......
That, what you said about Mars, is fascinating Colonel. A ship like this one could get to Mars very quickly, even just on pulse drive. I'm game. Healani, I totally concur with what you said about the ethics we need to uphold. Even with your brain upgrade chip, you could alter the course of History to a point we wouldn't recognise like a grossly over populated Earth. I am no temporal expert tho which is why I'm overly cautious. I reckon we should paint and rename the ship. Iqgal is a horrible name I reckon.
