One of my favorite all-time singers was the Gentle Giant, Don Williams. I was surprised to find a group from India who also loved Don Williams so much that they sing a lot of tribute songs of his music, They are called “Streetlights’, and you can find some of their versions of Don’s songs on youtube. (Search streetlights, Don Williams ) This one does not show the whole group singing, but I really liked how well they have captured the essence of one of my most beloved of Don Williams songs, “You’re My Best Friend”.
Gentle Giant brings back memories. They seemed to be every touring band's opening act back in the day. I think they opened for Jethro Tull quite often (my ex was an Ian Anderson freak.)
This song was a huge hit for Conway Twitty, and here is his son singing it. He sure looks and sounds a lot like his dad did, and does a good job on this song.
Sydney Christmas auditioned on BGT with the song, “Tomorrow” and then went on to win the ‘24 competition. Now, everyone has heard the original and probably a dozen different renditions of the song but never have I heard it sung quite like this lady did. Her voice along with her demeanor made this debut a spectacular event.
